NBC RESULTS FOR THE PRIMETIME WEEK OF MAY 23-29

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 1, 2011 - Paced this week by "The Voice" and "The Biggest Loser," NBC averaged a 1.3 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall for the week of May 23-29, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

"The Voice" and the season finale of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" ranked among the top 10 primetime programs of the week in all of the key adult demographics - ranking #7 and #10 respectively among adults 18-49, #5 and #10 respectively in adults 18-34 and #7 and #10 among adults 25-54.

Primetime averages for the week of May 23-29 in adults 18-49 were Fox (3.3/11), ABC (1.8/6), NBC and CBS (1.3/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were Fox (10.6 million), ABC (7.1 million), CBS (6.4 million), NBC (4.2 million) and CW (0.8 million).

The 28-night Nielsen May 2011 sweep concluded on Wednesday, May 25. Sweep averages in adults 18-49 are: Fox (3.1/9), ABC (2.4/7), CBS (2.1/6), NBC (1.8/5) and CW (0.7/2). In total viewers, the 28-night May sweep averages are CBS (9.6 million), Fox (9.2 million), ABC (8.9 million), NBC (5.4 million) and CW (1.6 million).

In the May sweep, NBC's "The Voice" was the #3 ranked primetime program in adults 18-49, behind only the two editions of "American Idol." "The Office" ranked #5 (tied) among all primetime programs during the May sweep in adults 18-49 and it was the #2 scripted series in that key demographic. Among adults 18-34, "The Office" ranked #2 in the sweep, and was the #1 scripted series, and "The Voice" ranked #3, tied with the Thursday edition of "Idol."

NBC highlights for the week of May 23-29:

* On Monday, "The Event" scored its highest 18-49 rating since November 29 and attracted its biggest overall viewership since March 7.

* On Tuesday, the finale of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" weighed in with its heaviest 18-49 rating in 16 weeks and its biggest overall viewership in nine weeks despite competition on this night from Fox's "American Idol" and season finale of "Glee" and ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" finale.

* Despite the formidable competition, "Loser" gained from its first half-hour to its fourth 38 percent in adults 18-49 and 29 percent or more than 2.0 million persons in total viewers.

* Also on Tuesday, The Voice" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in its hour in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49 versus atypical competition from the final hour of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" finale and CBS's "NCIS" encore.

* Despite the special competition, the week-five telecast of "The Voice" was up 65 percent in adults 18-49 and 38 percent in total viewers versus NBC's season average for the Tuesday 10-11 p.m. ET hour prior to the debut of "The Voice."

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" tied for the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49.

* On Saturday, the 10 p.m. encore of "Law & Order: LA" captured the night's #1 primetime result on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of May 23-29

On Monday, May 23 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Minute To Win It" (1.5 rating, 4 share, 4.3 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time slot since March 14. In a highly competitive time period opposite ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," Fox's season finale of "House" and CBS's "How I Met Your Mother" encore, "Minute" grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, including a gain of 31 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.7 rating from a 1.3).

Monday from 9-10 p.m. ET, "The Event" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) scored its highest 18-49 rating since November 29 and its biggest overall viewership since March 7. "The Event" was up 23 percent in 18-49 rating versus the prior week (1.6 vs. 1.3) and up 45 percent versus two weeks earlier (1.6 vs. 1.1).

Monday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: LA" (1.3/3 in adults 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall) locked up its highest 18-49 rating in three weeks and its biggest overall viewership since April 11. Week to week, "Law & Order: LA" was up 18 percent in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.1) and up 36 percent in total viewers (5.914 million vs. 4.363 million).

On Tuesday, May 24 from 8-10 p.m. ET, the finale of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) delivered its heaviest 18-49 rating in 16 weeks (since February 1) and its biggest overall audience in nine weeks (since March 22), despite competition on this night from Fox's "American Idol" and season finale of "Glee" and ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" finale. "Loser" was up 7 percent in 18-49 rating versus a week earlier (3.1 vs. 2.9) and up 19 percent versus two weeks earlier (3.1 vs. 2.6). In total viewers, the "Biggest Loser" finale was up 15 percent versus one week earlier (8.197 million vs. 7.157 million) and up 18 percent versus two weeks earlier (8.197 million vs. 6.961 million).

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Loser" gained 38 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.6 from a 2.6) and 29 percent or more than 2.0 million persons in total viewers (9.228 million vs. 7.154 million).

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.8/9 in adults 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in the hour in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49, versus atypical competition from the final hour of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" finale and CBS's "NCIS" encore.

Despite the special competition, the week-five telecast of "The Voice" was up 65 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's season average for the Tuesday 10-11 p.m. ET hour prior to the debut of "The Voice"(with a 3.8 rating vs. a 2.3, live plus same day) and up 38 percent in total viewers (8.488 million vs. 6.149 million).

On Wednesday, May 25 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Minute To Win It" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period opposite the season finale of Fox's "American Idol," the season finale of ABC's "The Middle" and CBS's "Big Bang Theory" encores.

Wednesday from 9-10 p.m. ET, a second rebroadcast of "Minute To Win It" (1.0/2 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) increased versus its results in this slot one week earlier by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.9) and 7 percent in total viewers (3.104 million vs. 2.896 million) in another highly competitive slot opposite Fox's "American Idol" finale, ABC's "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" season finales and CBS's "Criminal Minds" encore.

Wednesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: LA" averaged a 1.3/3 in adults 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Law & Order: LA" grew in all key ratings categories, including gains of 17 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.2), 27 percent in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.5) and 17 percent in total viewers (5.888 million vs. 5.053 million).

On Thursday, May 26 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall. From 8:30-9 p.m., an encore telecast of "30 Rock" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers overall.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "The Office" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 38 percent in 18-49 rating. "The Office" rebroadcast ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in the time period in adults, men and women 18-34, behind only the premiere of "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox.

From 9:31-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults, men and women 18-34, behind only Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

Thursday from 10-10:31 p.m. ET, a second rebroadcast of "30 Rock" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34. From 10:31-11 p.m., another rebroadcast of "The Office" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.0 million viewers overall) tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 and was #1 outright in men 18-34.

On Friday, May 27 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) tied for the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 11 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9), 36 percent in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.1) and 32 percent or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers (5.159 million vs. 3.914 million).

On Saturday, May 28 from 8-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Minute To Win It" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall.

Saturday from 9-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: LA" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall) was the #1 non-sports choice in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. "Law & Order: LA" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 40 percent in 18-49 rating and 67 percent in total viewers.

Saturday from 10-11 p.m. ET, a second encore telecast of "Law & Order: LA" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 43 percent in 18-49 rating and 36 percent in total viewers to rank #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. The 10 p.m. "Law & Order: LA" was the #1 primetime telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

On Sunday, May 29 from 7-8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall. From 8-9 p.m., "Minute To Win It" delivered a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall.

Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, a telecast of the 2004 feature film "The Bourne Supremacy" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 43 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.7) and by 33 percent in total viewers (3.521 million vs. 2.641 million).
