'Rosie' Reaches 1.5 Million and 'Lifeclass' Reaches 1.2 Million Gross Average Audience Across Five Discovery Networks In Series' Simulcast

Los Angeles, CA - The OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network new fall season premiered last night with Rosie O'Donnell's daily talk show "The Rosie Show" (Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET/PT) and "Oprah's Lifeclass" (Monday through Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT) garnering triple digit growth across all key demos versus year ago Discovery Health numbers.

Both new series aired concurrently across five Discovery Communications networks, including TLC, Investigation Discovery, Discovery Fit & Health and Planet Green in addition to OWN, with "Rosie" earning 1.5 million and "Lifeclass" earning 1.2 million gross average audience, respectively.

"The Rosie Show" live premiere on OWN, featuring first guest Russell Brand, ranked as the #2 talk show on cable posting triple digit growth across all key demos versus year ago (.44 W25-54, .54 HH, 497,000 total viewers; +267% W25-54, +238% HH, +238% P2+).

The premiere of "Oprah's Lifeclass," featuring Oprah as she shares her insights and the lessons that meant the most to her from the past 25 years on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," posted triple digit growth across all key demos versus year ago (.40 W25-54, .38 HH, 333,000 total viewers; +208% W25-54, +100% HH, +103%).

"The new fall season on OWN is off to an encouraging start," said Erik Logan, president of OWN. "This is the next right step as we continue to build the network."

Additionally, "Oprah's Lifeclass" live webcast saw more than 250,000 streams on Oprah.com and via Oprah's and OWN's Facebook pages. Oprah will continue to conduct live chats each night at 9 p.m. ET during premiere week immediately following the on-air telecast to discuss the nightly lesson in more depth directly with viewers.
