TBS ranked as basic cable's #1 entertainment network with adults 18-34 in primetime for the eighth consecutive week. TBS also ranked as the top entertainment network with adults 18-49 in primetime for the third straight week. The network's success continues to be driven by The Big Bang Theory, along with strong movie performances.
The Big Bang Theory on TBS chalked up another outstanding week, claiming eight of basic cable's Top 10 sitcom telecasts with total viewers and seven of the Top 10 with adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. The show's Tuesday 9:30 p.m. telecast averaged a remarkable 4 million viewers, while three additional episodes scored 3.5 million or more.
TBS's Sunday 8 p.m. premiere of the hit movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past took the title for basic cable's #1 movie of the week among adults 18-49. It was joined by the 10 p.m. encore and the Friday 10 p.m. telecast of 17 Again to give TBS three of the Top 5 movies for the week in the demo.
CONAN continued to enjoy solid numbers last week, averaging more than 1 million viewers; 374,000 adults 18-34; and 660,000 adults 18-49. To date, CONAN's January deliveries are up a remarkable 23% among viewers, 5% among adults 18-34 and 18% among adults 18-49 compared to December.
Adult Swim
Presenting its 100th original episode, Adult Swim's Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49. Earning double and triple-digit gains compared to last year's time period, average adults 18-34 delivery (927,000) increased by 116%, adults 18-49 (1,260,000)by 57%, adults 18-24 (516,000) by 200%, men 18-34 (582,000) by 119%, men 18-49 (780,000) by 42% and men 18-24 (295,000) by 192%.
Across the third week of January, Adult Swim ranked #1 on basic cable for Total Day Delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24. All targeted demos earned solid delivery gains vs. the same time period last year-average adults 18-34 delivery (539,000) increased by 12%, adults 18-49 (734,000) by 8%, adults 18-24 (307,000) by 21%, men 18-34 (340,000) by 11%, men 18-49 (445,000) by 5% and men 18-24 (201,000) by 23%.
Adult Swim programming-including Family Guy and Robot Chicken-accounted for 13 of the top 50 telecasts for the week on basic cable among adults 18-34 (more than any other network), and 19 of the top 50 among men 18-34, also more than any other network.
truTV
truTV continued its incredible success last week, once again ranking among basic cable's Top 10 networks with adults 18-49 and men 18-49 in primetime, with solid growth across the board.
Leading the truTV pack was the breakout hit Hardcore Pawn, which brought in 2.8 million viewers Tuesday at 9 p.m. The show scored a new truTV record of 1.6 million adults 18-49 and 970,000 men 18-49, both of which were more than the competing shows on History and Discovery combined. Hardcore Pawn also grew 9% among adults 18-34 and a whopping 32% among men 18-34 compared to the prior week.
truTV's success stretched across the network's primetime schedule, with new episodes of the original series Lizard Lick Towing (1.9 million viewers Monday at 10 p.m.), Storage Hunters (2 million viewers Tuesday at 9:30 p.m.); Full Throttle Saloon (2 million viewers Wednesday at 9 p.m.); Black Gold (1.4 million viewers Wednesday at 10 p.m.); and Impractical Jokers (1.3 million Thursday at 10 p.m.). All five series ranked among the Top 5 ad-supported cable programs in their respective timeslots with key demos. And on Friday, truTV's acquired series Wipeout reached new heights. The 8 p.m. telecast charted 1.8 million viewers and the show's best deliveries of adults 18-49 (876,000) and men 18-49 (488,000) since joining the lineup in September.
TNT
Closing out its TNT's hit series Leverage averaged 2.6 million viewers in Live + Same Day for its season finale night on Sunday, up 10% compared to the prior week's episode. The hit caper series also delivered 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 1.3 million adults 25-54, both of which were also up over last week. Those figures will grow significantly when final Live + 7 data becomes available in two weeks.
Overall, the fourth season of Leverage has averaged 4 million viewers, according to the most recent Live + Same Day and Live + 7 blended data. The show has also averaged 1.6 million adults 18-49 and 1.9 million adults 25-54.
On the time-shifted viewing front, TNT's Dec. 26 season finale of The Closer delivered a final tally of 8.4 million viewers, with 2.3 million adults 18-49 and 2.9 million adults 25-54. For its seventh and final season, which will end with six episodes this summer, The Closer is averaging 8.3 million viewers; 2.3 million adults 18-49 and 3 million adults 25-54. All three figures are up over season six, including a 6% boost among adults 18-49.
The Dec. 26 second season finale of Rizzoli & Isles chalked up 8.6 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery, with 2.4 million adults 18-49 and 3.1 million adults 25-54. For the second season overall, Rizzoli & Isles averaged 8.5 million viewers, 2.4 million adults 18-49 and 3.1 million adults 25-54.
Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network's early evening prime time (M-Su, 7-9 p.m.) posted significant gains across all kids demos vs. the same time period last year-average kids 6-11 delivery (637,000) increased by 17%, kids 2-11 (905,000) by 8% and kids 9-14 (468,000) by 20%.
Monday night comedies (7-9 p.m.) once again ranked as the #1 destination on all broadcast & cable television among all boys (6-11, 2-11, 9-14), earning gains across all kids demos. Compared to the previous year's time period, average kids 6-11 delivery (639,000) grew by 8%, kids 2-11 (991,000) by 6% and kids 9-14 (521,000) by 18%. Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among kids 2-11 and all boy demos, posting mostly double-digit delivery gains vs. the same time period last year. Regular Show (8 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11, and #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 & 2-11.
Tuesday night's presentation of The Looney Tunes Show (8:30 p.m.) scored strong delivery and ratings gains across all kid demos vs. last year's time period-average kids 6-11 delivery (559,000) improved by 5%, kids 2-11 (906,000) by 7% and kids 9-14 (488,000) by 63%.
Touting mostly encore airings of original comedy series, Cartoon Network's Wednesday and Thursday nights both ranked as the #1 television destination-broadcast and cable-among all boys 6-11, 2-11 & 9-14. Wednesday night also featured the new animated action-adventure series Ninjago (8 p.m.), which scored as the #1 telecast of the day among all boys, posting double and triple-digit delivery increases ranging between 68% - 109% across kids and boy demos.
Saturday morning's CRUSHZONE block (6:30 - 11 a.m.) also earned solid delivery gains across all kid demos vs. the same time period last year: average kids 6-11 delivery (389,000) grew by 20%, kids 2-11 (470,000) by 7% and kids 9-14 (370,000) by 41%.

NBA on TNT
Through the first nine games of TNT's 2011-12 NBA regular-season schedule, the network continues to post double-digit delivery gains vs. last year's corresponding coverage. This season, the NBA on TNT is averaging a 2.1 U.S. household rating (+91% vs. last year), 3.2 million viewers (+91%) and 2.4 million households (+82%).
NBA TV
Through the first 19 games of the network's 2011-12 regular season schedule, NBA TV continues to experience significant increases compared to last season. The network is averaging 359,000 total viewers (+73%) and 278,000 households (+75%).
NBA TV's popular Fan Night, featuring the Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers, delivered 436,000 total viewers and 399,000 households, representing 112% and 153% growth, respectively, compared to the same time period last year.
