"AMERICAN IDOL," "HOUSE," "ALCATRAZ," "UFC" AND "TOUCH" POWER FOX TO ANOTHER WEEKLY WIN

Special 'Touch' Preview Posts Second Highest-Rated Drama Opening of the Season

FOX enjoyed another dominant victory last week thanks to the strong return of HOUSE, solid retention in week two of ALCATRAZ, two winning nights of AMERICAN IDOL, exciting UFC action, and the powerful special preview of the network's new Kiefer Sutherland drama, TOUCH. Averaging a 3.0/8 among Adults 18-49 last week, FOX widened its lead as this season's #1 network in the core adult demographic.

In addition, FOX's new dramas achieved significant growth from initial post-same day playback last week. According to Nielsen Live + Three Day ratings, the special preview of TOUCH rose to a 4.7 rating among Adults 18-49 - a +21% lift above its same-day rating. Week two of ALCATRAZ saw a +37% lift and gained more than one full rating point (3.0 > 4.1) after three days of playback.

Excluding sports, FOX had:

HOUSE returned to a 3.1/8 among Adults 18-49, up +19% from its last original telecast two months ago (11/28/11, 2.6/6) and garnered its highest-rated episode since 10/17/11. In addition, HOUSE posted its highest number of Total Viewers since its premiere on 10/3/11.

HOUSE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 and won its hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens and Total Viewers.

Week two of ALCATRAZ delivered a 3.0/7 among Adults 18-49 and was the highest-rated program of the night among Adults 18-34, Teens and key male demos and won its 9p hour in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

ALCATRAZ is one of only three new dramas this season to post a 3.0 rating or more in its second week (in addition toTERRA NOVA and Once Upon A Time.)

FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers.

TUESDAY

With a special encore of AMERICAN IDOL, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Week two of AMERICAN IDOL Season 11 kicked off with a 6.5/18 among Adults 18-49, up +14% from its most recent telecast (5.7/15 on 1/19/12). AMERICAN IDOL was up +9% in Total Viewers (19.7 vs. 18.0 Mil) compared to the previous Thursday.

AMERICAN IDOL was Wednesday's highest rated program across all demos and also dominated its 8-9pm hour, beating the combined 4-network competition (ABC/CBS/NBC/CW) by +23% in Adults 18-49 (6.5 vs. 5.3), by +7% among Adults 18-34 (4.6 vs. 4.3) and +9% in Total Viewers (19.7 vs. 18.1 Mil).

AMERICAN IDOL gained +20% in its second half hour from its first (5.9 > 7.1).

At 9p, a special preview of TOUCH drew a 3.9/10 among Adults 18-49 and was FOX's highest rated drama opening in three years among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (since Lie to Me on 1/21/09). In fact, TOUCH is the second highest rated new drama premiere of the season on any network among Adults 18-49 (behind only ABC's Once Upon A Time).

TOUCH had the strongest retention ever of any new drama premiere coming out of AMERICAN IDOL among Adults 18-49 (60%), Adults 18-34 (57%) and Total Viewers (61%).

TOUCH was also the second highest rated program of the night (behind AMERICAN IDOL) among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. TOUCH outperformed CBS's Criminal Minds by +5% in Adults 18-49 (3.9/10 vs. 3.7/9) and by +18% among Adults 18-34 (2.6/8 vs. 2.2/6).

FOX won the night among all key demos and out-delivered the next highest rated network (CBS) by +76% in Adults 18-49 (5.1/14 vs. 2.9/8), by +112% among Adults 18-34 (3.6/11 vs. 1.7/5) and +30% in Total Viewers (15.6 vs. 12.0 Mil).

THURSDAY

AMERICAN IDOL posted a 5.5/15 among Adults 18-49 on Thursday and was the highest-rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 (tie), Total Viewers and Teens.

AMERICAN IDOL won its 8pm hour, beating its nearest competitor (CBS) by +22% among Adults 18-49 (5.5/15 vs. 4.5/13), by +23% among Adults 18-34 (3.8/12 vs. 3.1/10) and by +24% among Total Viewers (17.1 vs. 13.8 Mil.)

AMERICAN IDOL grew +24% in its second half hour from its first (4.9 > 6.1).

At 9pm week three of THE FINDER delivered a 2.8/7, up +27% among Adults 18-49 from the previous week (2.2/5) and up +27% in Total Viewers (8.4 vs. 6.6 Mil.) THE FINDER ranked #1 in its hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and Adults 18-34, and outperformed the next highest-rated network (CBS) by +50% in the core demo (4.2/11 vs. 2.8/8), by +71% among Adults 18-34 (2.9/9 vs. 1.7/5) and by +12% among Total Viewers (12.8 vs. 11.4 Mil.)

FRIDAY

On Friday, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES posted a 1.4/4 among Adults 18-49 and ranked #2 in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

FRINGE followed with a 1.2/3 and ranked third in the hour among Adults 18-49 (tie) and #2 among Adults 18-34.

FOX ranked second for the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

SATURDAY

8:00-10:21 UFC (S): (Adults 18-49: 2.4/8, 4.7 Mil Total Viewers)

A special presentation of the UFC gave FOX a first place finish on Saturday among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. A two-hour edition of UFC ON FOX earned a 2.6/5 (4.7 million viewers) Saturday night. As expected, FOX dominated the night on the most important younger demos. FOX's 2.4 among A18-49 nearly beat the combined ratings of ABC, CBS, and NBC (2.5 combined) and FOX's 2.5 among A18-34 easily beat those three competitors combined (1.4). Impressively, Saturday's UFC card rated roughly equal to Sunday's high-profile Bulls-Heat NBA game on ABC across key adult demos. The NBA game beat UFC by +4% on A18-34 (2.6 vs. 2.5), it was a draw on A18-49 (2.4), and UFC won by +4% on A25-54 (2.5 vs. 2.4).

Following at 8:30p week two of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE did 2.1/5. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE retained a substantial 88% of its THE SIMPSONS lead-in (2.1 vs. 2.4), better than its 81% retention when it premiered two weeks ago (4.4 vs. 5.4 on 1/15/12).

At 9p FAMILY GUY posted 3.1/7 and was the highest rated entertainment program of the night in Adults 18-34 and Teens.

AMERICAN DAD at 9:30p did 2.4/5, up +9% from three weeks ago (1/8/12, 2.2/5) and ranked #2 in the 9:30p half hour in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens and #1 in Women 18-34.

At 7:30p CLEVELAND did 1.3/3 and an encore BOB'S BURGERS at 7p posted a 0.7/2.
