CBS POSTS BEST WEEKLY RATINGS PERFORMANCE IN MORE THAN A YEAR
Network Up Over Last Year in All Key Measures
"The 54th Annual GRAMMY(R) Awards" Posts its Largest Audience Since 1984 and Second-Largest Ever
"NCIS," "Person of Interest," "The Mentalist" and "The Big Bang Theory" All Deliver Season-High Ratings
CBS swept the week in viewers, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 with its best performances in these measures since the week ending Jan. 23, 2011, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 12, Week 21 of the 2011-2012 television season.
CBS's win was paced by THE 54TH ANNUAL GRAMMY(R) AWARDS, which delivered 39.9 million viewers, the largest audience since 1984 and the second-largest ever for the awards broadcast and season-high ratings for NCIS, PERSON OF INTEREST, THE MENTALIST and THE BIG BANG THEORY.
For the week in viewers: CBS (15.36m), FOX (6.97m), ABC (6.52m) and NBC (6.39m). Season-to-date: CBS (12.19m), FOX (9.02m), ABC (8.28m) and NBC (8.04m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.2/11) and adults 18-34 (2.9/09). CBS posted its best deliveries in the measures since the week ending Jan. 23, 2011. Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +16% in households, +17% in viewers, +23% in adults 25-54, +24% in adults 18-49 and +12% in adults 18-34.
Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and second adults 18-49 (3.2/09, -0.1 behind FOX). Season-to-date, CBS is up +4% in households, +1% in viewers, +2% in adults 25-54 and +7% in adults 18-49 compared to last year.
