"AMERICAN IDOL" PROPELS FOX TO WEEKLY VICTORY

FOX Wins Five Nights Among Adults 18-34 and Three Nights Among Adults 18-49

Strong performances by AMERICAN IDOL, THE FINDER and its Tuesday comedy block propelled FOX to win the week among Adults 18-49 and rank No. 1 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Adults 18-49 and five nights among Adults 18-34. Also, AMERICAN IDOL ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 program of the week among Total Viewers.

Season to date, FOX is averaging a 3.3/9 in the core adult demographic and continues to rank as the No. 1 network this season. Excluding last year's Super Bowl, FOX is up +3% among Adults 18-49 and up +2% in Total Viewers year-over-year.

Last week, FOX had:

FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens and outperformed its nearest competitor for the night by +75% in Adults 18-34 (2.1 vs. CBS' 1.2).

FOX had the top four rated programs of the night in Adults 18-34: NEW GIRL, RAISING HOPE, BREAKING IN and I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER.

In its new 8p time slot RAISING HOPE posted a 2.1/6, same as two weeks ago with its GLEE lead-in (2/21/12, 2.1/5). RAISING HOPE won its half hour in Adults 18-34 and Teens (tie) and ranked #2 in Adults 18-49.

Following at 8:30p the return of I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER did 1.6/4 among Adults 18-49 and won its half hour in Adults 18-34 and Teens (tie) and ranked #3 in Adults 18-49.

At 9p NEW GIRL did 3.0/8, the same as two weeks ago (2/21/12, 3.0/8) and was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

The season premiere of BREAKING IN at 9:30p did 1.7/4, up 31% from its finale telecast last season (5/17/11, 1.3/3, Tue 9:30p). BREAKING IN ranked #2 in its 9:30p half hour in Adults 18-34 and #3 in Adults 18-49.

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 AMERICAN IDOL: (Adults 18-49: 5.7/16, 18.7 Mil Total Viewers)

FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens. In fact, FOX outperformed the combined 3-net competition for the night by +12% in Adults 18-49 (5.7 vs. 5.1 for ABC/CBS/NBC), +32% in Adults 18-34 (4.1 vs. 3.1) and +7% in Total Viewers (18.7 vs. 17.5 Mil.)

FOX also beat its nearest competitors for the night by +159% in Adults 18-49 (5.7 vs. 2.2 for CBS), +242% in Adults 18-34 (4.1 vs. ABC's 1.2) and +113% in Total Viewers (18.7 vs. 8.8 for CBS). FOX has now won eight Wednesdays in a row in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.

The 'Top 13 Finalists Perform' telecast of AMERICAN IDOL did 5.7/16, up +14% from last Wednesday in Adults 18-49 (5.0/13 on 2/29/12). Compared to last Wednesday AMERICAN IDOL was also up +21% in Adults 18-34 (4.1 vs. 3.4) and +9% in Total Viewers (18.7 vs. 17.2 Mil.)

AMERICAN IDOL outperformed all three of its telecasts last week in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers.

The 'Top 13 Finalists Perform' episode grew +6% from last Thursday's 'Top 13 Finalists Chosen' in Adults 18-49 (5.7 vs. 5.4), while last year the same episode only retained 99%.

AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens and outperformed the #2 program of the night by +78% in Adults 18-49 (5.7 vs. 3.2 for Survivor) and +73% in Total Viewers (18.7 vs. 10.8 Mil for Survivor).

AMERICAN IDOL grew in its last half hour vs. its first by +20% in Adults 18-49 (6.1 vs. 5.1) and +16% in Total Viewers (19.6 vs. 16.9 Mil.)

THURSDAY

8:00-9:01 AMERICAN IDOL: (Adults 18-49: 4.9/14, 17.3 Mil Total Viewers)

AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Teens. AMERICAN IDOL outperformed the #2 program of the night by +10% in Total Viewers (17.3 vs. 15.7 Mil for Person of Interest).

AMERICAN IDOL won its 8p hour in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers and AMERICAN IDOL grew in its last half hour versus its first by +13% in Adults 18-49 (5.2 vs. 4.6) and +11% in Total Viewers (18.1 vs. 16.3 Mil.)

At 9p THE FINDER did 2.3/6, up 15% from two weeks ago (2/23/12, 2.0/5) in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (7.1 vs. 6.2 Mil.) THE FINDER produced its second highest Total Viewers ever (7.1 Mil.)

THE FINDER ranked #2 in the 9p hour among Adults 18-49 and #1 in Teens (tie).
