Turner Weekly Ratings - TBS Chalked Up Another Win as Basic Cable's #1 Network in Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49

Continuing its march toward a first-place finish for the quarter, TBS chalked up another weekly win as basic cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.

The Big Bang Theory showed no signs of slowing down last week as it once again dominated the charts with nine of basic cable's Top 10 sitcom telecasts for the week among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. The show also scored all 10 of basic cable's most-watched sitcom telecasts for the week, with four episodes drawing more than 3 million viewers.

CONAN drew more than 1 million viewers last week in Live + Same Day delivery, with 401,000 adults 18-34 and 663,000 adults 18-49. CONAN continues to be up among key adult demos compared to February as the show seeks to expand its growth trend to five consecutive months. Meanwhile in time-shifted viewing, episodes of CONAN airing the week of Feb. 20 climbed to 1.2 million viewers in Live + 7, with 472,000 adults 18-34 and 766,000 adults 18-49.

TBS's weekend plays of the comedy blockbuster The Hangover combined with a Sunday presentation of the hit Old School to give TBS all five of basic cable's Top 5 movie telecasts for the week among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. The Saturday 8 p.m. telecast of The Hangover topped the charts as basic cable's most-watched movie of the week, with more than 2.4 million viewers. It was also #1 for the week among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.

Adult Swim

Sunday night's presentation of the Adult Swim original series Robot Chicken (10 p.m.) scored double-digit delivery gains across all targeted adult and male audiences: adults 18-34 (217,000) grew by 13%, adults 18-49 (391,000) by 18%, adults 18-24 (136,000) by 81%, men 18-34 (147,000) by 62%, men 18-49 (269,000) by 49% and men 18-24 (108,000) by 96%.

Thursday night's premiere episode of original series Delocated (12 a.m.) also earned solid delivery gains across all adult demos vs. the same time period last year. Adults 18-34 (649,000) grew by 5%, adults 18-49 (879,000) grew by 8% and adults 18-24 (342,000) grew by 11%.

Across the second week of March, Adult Swim ranked #1 on basic cable for Total Day Delivery of young adult and young men demos - adults 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24, as well as men 18-34 & 18-24.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, Robot Chicken and American Dad - accounted for 16 of the top 50 telecasts for the week on basic cable among adults 18-34 (more than any other network), and 20 of the top 50 among men 18-34, also more than any other network.

Cartoon Network

Once more, Cartoon Network claimed television's #1 network for the week among boys (2-11, 6-11, 9-14) in Early Evening Prime (7-9 p.m.), charting remarkable double-digit delivery growth across all kids demos in both Prime and Total Day ranging between 21% and 39%. In Prime (7-9 p.m.), average kids 2-11 delivery (957,000) grew by 36%, kids 6-11 (685,000) by 39% and kids 9-14 (524,000) by 30%. In Total Day, average kids 2-11 (553,000) grew by 21%, kids 6-11 (349,000) by 30% and kids 9-14 (267,000) by 27%.

Winning every weeknight (Monday-Friday, 7-9 p.m.) among boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14, Cartoon Network also was the #1 destination for kids 2-11 & 6-11 on Wednesday night. Wednesday night's premiere episode of Ninjago (8 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the week among boys 2-11 and the #1 telecast of the day among kids 2-11 & 6-11 (and all boys) on television, posting triple-digit gains (109% to 160%) across all kids demos.

Among the network's original comedy programming, Monday's Adventure Time (7 p.m., 7:30 p.m.), Regular Show (8 p.m.) and Mad (8:30 p.m.) each ranked #1 in their time periods among boys. Tuesday's The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.) and Level Up (8 p.m.) both ranked #1 in their time periods among boys. Thursday night's line-up earned double & triple-digit delivery gains vs. last year among kids and boys, and Friday night's line-up also earned double-digit delivery gains among kids 2-11 & 6-11 and boys 2-11 & 6-11.

Saturday morning's presentation of the new DC Nation block, featuring Green Lantern (10 a.m.) and Young Justice (10:30 a.m.), earned significant double delivery gains across all kids demos vs. the same time period last year. Green Lantern's kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 average delivery grew between 13% and 38%, while Young Justice's kids demo deliveries grew between 25% and 42%.

TNT

TNT's acclaimed cop drama Southland brought in more than 2.7 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery last week (2 million in Live + Same Day), up 7% compared to the prior week's episode. The show also scored 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 1.2 million adults 25-54. With two episodes left in its powerful fourth season, Southland continues to show growth compared to season three, with adults 18-49 up 6% and adults 25-54 up 3%.

truTV

As truTV continues on pace to score its biggest quarter ever among key demos, one of the network's newest hit series - Lizard Lick Towing - is delivering outstanding numbers on Monday nights. Last week, the series attracted more than 2.2 million viewers and 1.2 million adults 18-49. It ranked among basic cable's Top 5 programs in the Monday 10 p.m. timeslot with viewers and key adult demos.

NBA on TNT

Through 27 games of TNT's 2011-12 NBA regular-season schedule, the network continues to deliver double-digit gains vs. last year's corresponding coverage. The NBA on TNT is averaging a 1.8 U.S. HH rating (+20% vs. 1.5 U.S. HH rating); 2,729,000 total viewers (+21% vs. 2,247,000 total viewers) and 2,058,000 households (+22% vs. 1,690,000 households) over last year's corresponding coverage. Through the first half of the season, the Top 5 NBA regular-season games on cable have all aired on TNT.

Through 10 weeks of NBA TV's 2011-12 regular-season schedule, the network continues to experience double-digit increases compared to last season. NBA TV is averaging 357,000 total viewers (+41 %) and 279,000 households (+42%) for 55 games.
