"Nightline" Stands as the No. 1 Program in Latenight Across All Target Demos
"Nightline" Hits a 6-Week High in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49
Season to Date, "Nightline" Ranks No. 1 in Latenight Across All Target Demos
ABC's "Nightline" stood as the No. 1 program in latenight across each of the key target demos: Total Viewers (4.022 million), Adults 25-54 (1.547 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.158 million), for the week of March 26, 2012, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" has ranked No. 1 in all 3 measures for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks.
"Nightline" increased over the previous week in Total Viewers (+11%), Adults 25-54 (+8%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%) to hit a 6-week high - best since w/o 2/13/12.
Season to date, "Nightline" ranks No. 1 in latenight among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, ahead of both NBC's "The Tonight Show" and CBS' "The Late Show." This marks the 2nd straight year that the ABC program is taking the top spot in overall viewers and in the key adult news demo.
During the week of March 26 Nightline covered stories including the Mega Millions mania, the Pope's historic visit to Cuba, girls and binge drinking and the Trayvon Martin case. We interviewed Kate Winslet on the Titanic anniversary and James Cameron on the historic movie and his trip to the Marianas. We also aired and investigation into the unregulated sales of so called whippets and Bill Weir, who took us inside Apple last month, broke the story of the audit results of the Apple factory.
ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. Juju Chang is a correspondent. Jeanmarie Condon is the Executive Producer. The program airs weeknights from 11:35 p.m., ET to 12:00 a.m. on the ABC Television Network.

ABC Late-Night (Monday - Friday)
With its lineup of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" during the week of March 26, 2012, ABC grew week to week by 15% in Total Viewers (2.428 million vs. 2.105 million) and 8% in Adults 18-49 (774,000 vs. 719,000), standing as the only broadcaster in late-night to post weekly gains in both Nielsen measures (CBS was down -10%/up +2%, respectively; NBC was down -1%/-1%, respectively). With double-digit gains over the prior week in viewers, ABC delivered its most-watched week in late-night in more than 4 months - since the week of 11/21/11.
· For the 3rd time in 4 weeks, ABC finished as the most-watched network in late-night in Total Viewers (2.428 million), beating CBS by 13% (2.148 million) and NBC by 12% (2.176 million).
· ABC topped NBC by 9% in Adults 18-49 (774,000 vs. 708,000), marking its 3rd straight win over NBC.

During the week of March 26, 2012, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" saw increases over the prior week of 15% in Total Viewers (1.830 million vs. 1.586 million) and 6% in Adults 18-49 (630,000 vs. 597,000), growing its overall audience the most of any broadcast talk show in late-night.
· During the week, ABC's "JKL" stood as the No. 3 late-night talk show in Total Viewers (1.830 million), behind only NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (3.598 million) and CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" (2.904 million).
· ABC's "JKL" (M-F 12:00 a.m.) beat NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (M-F 12:35 a.m.) in both Total Viewers (+17% - 1.830 million vs. 1.561 million) and Adults 18-49 (+1% - 630,000 vs. 625,000), outdrawing the NBC late-night program in viewers on all 5 days of the week. In fact, "JKL's" repeat telecast on Friday outperformed an original telecast of "Fallon" by 7% in Total Viewers (1.906 million vs. 1.778 million) and by 19% in Adults 18-49 (760,000 vs. 639,000).
· Season to date (28 weeks), "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is building its overall audience through the same weeks last year by 3% in Total Viewers (1.761 million vs. 1.718 million), growing the most year to year of any late-night broadcast talk show.
