OVER ONE MILLION VIEWERS TUNE IN TO OXYGEN'S NEWEST DOCU-SERIES "TANISHA GETS MARRIED"

New Series Is Network's Best Ever Docu-Series Premiere

NEW YORK - May 8, 2012 - The "godmother" of all Bad Girls, Tanisha Thomas, proves she's still the fan favorite as Oxygen's "Tanisha Gets Married" marks the network's best ever freshman docu-series premiere with over one million total viewers (1,073,000). The series which follows Tanisha as she plans her dream wedding also earned impressive numbers in key demos including W18-49 (494,000), A18-34 (462,000) and W18-34 (401,000) according to Nielsen. Compared to the prior four week time period, Monday night's premiere was up double digits with 96% in W18-34, +86% in total viewers, +76% in W18-49, and +68% in A18-34. In the 11pm hour, Oxygen was the #2 cable network among W18-34.

In last night's premiere episode, viewers followed along as Tanisha began to plan her fairy-tale wedding to boyfriend of seven years, Clive. Her reactions are priceless as Tanisha will say things out loud that many only think about and never dream of saying. While meeting with a wedding planner Tanisha discovers their high cost and unabashedly proclaims, "I am in the wrong business, you guys are pimps!" After a venue owner agrees to her request to serve mac & cheese at her wedding, Tanisha jumps with excitement saying, "Any friend of macaroni and cheese is a friend of mine!" The emotion and the comedy continue when "Tanisha Gets Married" moves into its regular timeslot, Mondays at 10 PM ET/PT, beginning May 14th.

"Tanisha Gets Married" is produced by 495 Productions with SallyAnn Salsano and Joel Zimmer.
