CBS News 48 HOURS MYSTERY: LIVE TO TELL was first in households (3.5/07), and viewers (4.91m), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, May 19. This special LIVE TO TELL edition of 48 HOURS MYSTERY was also tied for first in adults 25-54 (1.4/04).
In this powerful edition of 48 HOURS MYSTERY entitled LIVE TO TELL: "An Officer and a Hero," an off-duty St. Louis police officer, Isabella Lovadina, told her story of a botched robbery turned deadly home invasion. That fateful October 2009 night, Lovadina put her bulletproof vest and pistol in her car and turned to give her then-boyfriend, Nick Koenig, a goodnight hug. A heartbeat later, two men rushed them with guns, intending to rob them. Lovadina couldn't stop it. The botched robbery and home invasion left her grievously wounded, Koenig with a bullet in his throat and one woman dead.
