UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 5, 2012 - With Monday and Tuesday editions of "America's Got Talent" ranking #1 and 2 for the week among all primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, NBC's primetime lineup has finished #1 for the week of May 28-June 3 in adults 18-49. Also boosting the week for NBC were Monday's "American Ninja Warrior," which tied for #5 in 18-49, Sunday's "Miss USA Pageant," tied for #8, and Sunday's "Adele Live in London," tied for #11. According to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall for the week.
The Tuesday telecast of "America's Got Talent" demonstrated the hit competition's broad appeal, ranking #1 among primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox across the board - in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers, kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.
In addition to its weeklong win in adults 18-49, NBC also finished #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for the week in adults 18-34, adults 25-54, women 18-34 (tie) and all key adult-male demos.
NBC's lineup accounted for four of the week's top six primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and five of the top 10. Tuesday's "Talent" ranked #1 in 18-49 and Monday's edition ranked #2, "American Ninja Warrior" and a Tuesday "Talent" encore tied for #5, "Miss USA" tied for #8, "Adele Live in London" tied for #11, and Friday's "Dateline NBC" and a Thursday "Talent" encore tied for #12.
NBC finished #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 on four of the week's seven nights - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Primetime averages for the week of May 28-June 3 in adults 18-49 were NBC (1.5/5), ABC (1.3/4), Fox (1.2/4), CBS (1.1/3) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (5.9 million), NBC (4.8 million), ABC (4.7 million), Fox (3.5 million) and CW (0.8 million).
NBC highlights for the week of May 28-June 3
* On Monday, "America's Got Talent" scored the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, leading NBC to a nightlong win among those networks in adults 18-49.
* Monday's NBC telecast of the G4 series "American Ninja Warrior" won the 9-10 p.m. ET hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and other key demos.
* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" delivered the #1 and #2 ratings of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in 18-49, with the 9 p.m. ET original ranking #1 and the 8 p.m. encore finishing #2. The 9 p.m. original equaled the season high for "Talent" in 18-49 and set a new season high in total viewers.
* Also on Tuesday, a "Grimm" encore at 10 p.m. ET locked up that show's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results to date for a rebroadcast.
* On Thursday, a 10 p.m. ET encore of "America's Got Talent" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and hit 11-week highs for NBC in the time period in 18-49 and total viewers.

From its first half-hour to its second, this week's "Talent" grew by 15 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.0 from a 2.6) and 13 percent in total viewers (10.6 million vs. 9.4 million). Week to week, "America's Got Talent" is up 3 percent in total viewers (9.957 million vs. 9.656 million), despite the Memorial Day holiday.
Monday at 9 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" (2.1/5 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and all key adult-male demos. Versus NBC's special telecast of "American Ninja Warrior" last summer, this week's telecast is up 24 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 2.1 vs. a 1.7 from 9-11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011) and up 41 percent in total viewers (5.786 million vs. 4.103 million).
Monday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Grimm" averaged a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, May 29, at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (2.1/7 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) was the #2 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in adults 18-49 behind only the 9 p.m. "Talent" original. In the time period, the 8 p.m. rebroadcast ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and was #1 or tied for #1 in all other key demographics. Week to week, the 8 p.m. "Talent" encore was up 24 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from 1.7) and up 42 percent or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (7.4 million vs. 5.2 million).
Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.7/10 in 18-49, 11.5 million viewers overall) equaled its season high in 18-49 and set a new high in total viewers, tying the 18-49 rating for its Monday premiere on May 14 and topping all Monday and Tuesday telecasts so far this season in total viewers. On Wednesday, May 30 from 8-11:19 p.m. ET, NBC Sports' coverage of the Los Angeles Kings-New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Final Game 1 averaged a 1.1/3 in adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its sixth and final full half-hour from 10:30-11 p.m. ET, NBC's coverage of the Kings-Devils game increased by 63 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 0.8) and by 18 percent in total viewers (3.254 million vs. 2.761 million). In the final hour of primetime from 10-11 p.m. ET, NBC ranked #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.
On Thursday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a second "Office" rebroadcast delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall. Week to week, the 8 p.m. "Office" encore is up 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and the 8:30 "Office" is up 14 percent in 18-49 rating (0.8 vs. 0.7) and up 12 percent in total viewers (2.1 million vs. 1.9 million).
At 9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, including gains of 30 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.0) and 23 percent in total viewers (4.3 million vs. 3.5 million). The 9 p.m. "Talent" rebroadcast is #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34 and women 18-34 and #1 among those networks in men 18-34.
At 10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) finished #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, as well as adults 25-54 (tie), adults 18-34, women 18-34 and all key adult-male demos. Friday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET, "Best Friends Forever" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall) and at 8:30, a second telecast of "Best Friends Forever" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall.
Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall) reported its highest 18-49 rating for a Friday telecast since February 10 and biggest overall audience for a Friday edition since December 16. "Dateline" tied for the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in 18-49 and was #1 outright among those networks in adults 25-54 and total viewers. In the time period, "Dateline" ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 33 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.6 rating from a 1.2), 44 percent in adults 25-54 (2.3 vs. 1.6) and 42 percent or 2.1 million persons in total viewers (7.0 million vs. 4.9 million.
On Saturday, June 2, NBC ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 for the night with NBC Sports' 8-11:31 p.m. ET coverage of the overtime Los Angeles Kings-New Jersey Devils Stanley Cup Final Game 2, which averaged a 1.1/4 in adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall. From its first to its sixth half-hour, NBC's coverage of the Kings-Devils game increased by 71 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 0.7) and by 36 percent in total viewers (3.2 million vs. 2.3 million).
On Sunday, June 3 from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) reported its highest 18-49 rating for a Sunday telecast since April 22 and its biggest Sunday overall audience since April 15.
Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, the NBC Special "Adele Live in London" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. "Adele Live in London" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in 15 weeks (since February 19). The concert special built on its lead-in by 70 percent in 18-49 rating and 32 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "Adele Live in London" grew by 20 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.5) and by 14 percent in total viewers (6.6 million vs. 5.8 million).
Sunday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the "2012 Miss USA Pageant" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) tied for the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in adults 18-49 with Fox's "Family Guy" encore (1.8 rating each). The "2012 Miss USA Pageant" delivered the event's second-highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in five years, since 2007 ranking behind only last year's figures (2.2/6 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall). "Miss USA" led its two-hour time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Miss USA" grew by 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.6) and by 28 percent or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (7.1 million vs. 5.6 million).

Sunday night on G4, telecasts of "American Ninja Warrior 4" posted strong time-period gains in adults 18-49 and total viewers. In the 9-11 p.m. ET block, "American Ninja Warrior 4" on G4 averaged 347,000 total viewers and 197,000 adults 18-49, more than doubling the prior four-week mark with total viewers (+108 percent) and adults 18-49 (+101 percent). The two-episode block more than tripled the network's second quarter 2011 evening average with total viewers (+210 percent) and adults 18-49 (+218 percent). The two-hour stack rose +63 percent over the prior Sunday's results with total viewers and +59 percent among adults 18-49, while more than doubling among men 18-49. "American Ninja Warrior 4's" 9 p.m. Sunday telecast on G4 rose +4 percent with adults 18-49 and +10 percent with households from the 9 p.m. telecast's first half-hour to the second half-hour. The 10 p.m. telecast on G4 also grew from first half-hour to second by +35 percent with adults 18-49 and +28 percent among men 18-49. "American Ninja Warrior" has reached more than 25 million total unique viewers across both G4 and NBC since the season-four debut on May 20.
