Adult Swim ranked #1 in Prime Time delivery of adults 18-34 among basic cable networks, up a remarkable 28% compared to the same week last year. Prime delivery grew by double digits among additional key demos - adults 18-49 grew by 10%, adults 18-24 by 19% and men 18-34 by 13%.
Adult Swim also ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 as well as men 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24.
Among Adult Swim's original programming, premiere episodes of Black Dynamite (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.) and Aqua Something You Know Whatever (Sunday, 12 a.m.) both ranked #1 in their time periods among adults 18-24, men 18-34 and men 18-24. The new season premiere of Squidbillies (Sunday, 12:15 a.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24 and men 18-24, earning significant double-digit delivery gains across all key demos - adults 18-34 improved by 21%, adults 18-49 by 11%, adults 18-24 by 62%, men 18-34 by 46%, men 18-24 by 56% and men 18-49 by 14%.
Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad, Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force - accounted for 22 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34. The Tuesday, 11:30 p.m. telecast of Family Guy was the most-watched telecast of the week among adults 18-34 (1,509,000).
Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network again ranked as television's #1 network for Total Day & Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Total Day delivery grew across all kid demos - kids 2-11 by 5%, kids 6-11 by 2% and kids 9-14 by 8% - vs. the same time period last year.
Among the network's signature programming, Ninjago's second season premiere (Wednesday, 8 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the week among all boys, #1 for the entire day among kids 2-11, and #1 in its time period among kids 6-11 & 9-14. The telecast attracted more than 2.8 million viewers ages 2+.
Cartoon Network's Monday night line-up of animated comedies grew by double digits across all kid demos compared to the 2011 time period - kids 2-11 delivery increased by 15%, kids 6-11 by 10% and kids 9-14 by 20%. The top telecast was earned by Regular Show (8 p.m.), which ranked as the #1 telecast of the day among all boy demos and #1 in its time period among kids 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14.
Saturday morning's (7-11 a.m.) presentation of action-adventure programming - including Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (9 a.m.), Ninjago (9:30 a.m.), The Green Lantern (10 a.m.) and Young Justice (10:30 a.m.) - increased by double-digits across kids 2-11 and boys 2-11 - between 18% and 20%.
TNT
Propelled by its lineup of original series, TNT ranked as basic cable's #1 network for the week in primetime delivery of adults 18-49. Leading the pack, The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles and Perception reigned as basic cable's Top 3 programs for the week in total viewers. In the race for demos, TNT's epic drama Falling Skies and Rizzoli & Isles were among basic cable's Top 5 dramas for the week with adults 18-49. They were joined by The Closer to account for three of basic cable's Top 5 scripted programs for the week with adults 25-54.
So far this summer, TNT's primetime deliveries are up 10% among total viewers, +10% among adults 18-49 and +9% among adults 25-54, compared to summer 2011. TNT is currently home to cable's Top 4 scripted summer series among total viewers - #1) The Closer, #2) Perception, #3) Rizzoli & Isles and #4) Dallas - as well as two of basic cable's Top 5 summer dramas among adults 18-49 and four of the Top 5 with adults 25-54.
Monday:
· Basic cable's most-watched program for the week, The Closer, and the new hit series Perception eached achieved solid growth in Live + Same Day delivery last week, outperforming the prior week's summer premieres among key adult demos.
· Last Monday's episode of The Closer drew 6.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day, topping the previous week's summer premiere by +4%. Among key demos, The Closer averaged 1.3 million adults 18-49 in Live + Same Day (+3% vs. prior week) and 1.8 million adults 25-54 (+8%).
· TNT's newest original series, Perception, remained strong in its second week, with a total audience of 5.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day. Perception chalked up solid demo growth compared to the prior week's series premiere, growing its delivery of adults 18-49 by +12% to 1.2 million and adults 25-54 by +8% to 1.7 million.
Tuesday:
· Ranking second behind The Closer among basic cable's top shows for the week and first among basic cable's Tuesday programs, Rizzoli & Isles pulled in 5.8 million viewers in Live + Same Day, up 6% compared to the prior week. Among key demos, Rizzoli & Isles averaged 1.4 million adults 18-49 and 1.8 million adults 25-54.
· TNT's light-hearted legal drama Franklin & Bash drew 2.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day, up 6% compared to the prior week. Franklin & Bash brought in 937,000 adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54.
Wednesday:
· Last week's episode of TNT's hit series Dallas scored 3.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, up 7% over the prior week's episode. Dallas also drew 1.2 million adults 18-49 and grew its delivery of adults 25-54 by +7% to 1.5 million.
Sunday:
· With its second summer episode, TNT's popular caper series Leverage ranked as basic cable's #1 program in the Sunday 8 p.m. timeslot with adults 25-54. The show drew a total of 2.6 million viewers in Live + Same Day, 899,000 adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54.
· TNT's epic drama Falling Skies ranked as basic cable's #1 Sunday program among adults 25-54 and #1 scripted program with adults 18-49. This week's episode drew 3.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 1.5 million adults 18-49 and 1.8 million adults 25-54.
· Sunday night's installment of The Great Escape garnered 1.1 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 554,000 adults 18-49 and 611,000 adults 25-54.

Last Thursday, TBS's new sitcom Sullivan & Son opened its doors to 2.5 million viewers in Live + Same Day for the premiere episode. The series, starring popular comedian Steve Byrne, also nabbed 612,000 adults 18-34 and 1.3 million adults 18-49. TBS followed the premiere with a second episode, which averaged more than 2 million viewers in Live + Same Day, with 456,000 adults 18-34 and 1.0 million adults 18-49.
Friday night, Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse averaged 2.0 million viewers in Live + Same Day for the 9 p.m. episode, growing to 2.2 million viewers for the 9:30 p.m. episode. Among key adult demos, Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse garnered 477,000 adults 18-34 and 1.0 million adults 18-49 at 9 p.m., and 511,000 adults 18-34 and 1.1 million adults 18-49. Both episodes ranked among basic cable's Top 10 programs for the day.
In late night, TBS's CONAN averaged 1.1 million viewers, 350,000 adults 18-34 and 683,000 adults 18-49. Meanwhile, CONAN's July premieres are up 9% among viewers, compared to June, with adults 18-34 up 28% and adults 18-49 up 12%.
truTV
truTV ranked as one of ad-supported cable's Top 10 networks for the week in primetime delivery of men 18-34.
Leading the pack of hit truTV series last week, Lizard Lick Towing (Monday at 10 p.m.) garnered 2.3 million viewers and ranked as cable's #1 entertainment program in its timslot with adults 18-49 (1.2 million). It also ranked among the Top 5 in its timeslot with total viewers, adults 18-34 and key male demos. The show yielded triple-digit growth over the same timeslot last year and lifted truTV to a Top 10 finish for the night with male demos.
Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) nabbed 2.3 million viewers and ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with adults 18-49 (1.2 million). The episode also scored double-digit time-period growth across the board. For the night, truTV ranked among ad-supported cable's Top 10 networks with adults 18-49 and key male demos.
Other series that performed well for truTV last week include Operation Repo (1.3 million viewers Wednesday at 10 p.m.), Storage Hunters (1.8 million viewers Sunday at 10 p.m.) and Combat Pawn (1.1 million viewers Sunday at 10:30 p.m.).
