Tuesday Results (subject to adjustment due to live coverage of the Republican National Convention):
· Pending updates, from 8-10 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.3/6 in 18-49, 8.6 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers. "Talent" leads its two-hour time period among those networks in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" grew by 20 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.4 from a 2.0) and 12 percent in total viewers (9.0 million vs. 8.0 million), pending updates.
· "Talent's" 2.3 rating in 18-49 is within a tenth of a point of last week's fast-affiliate rating (2.4) and within 0.2 of last week's official-national 2.5.
· Fast-affiliate ratings for NBC News' live coverage of the Democratic National Convention from 10-11 p.m. are not time zone-adjusted and are subject to change.
· Pending updates, NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night (New Orleans is excluded and all start times were delayed due to overrun convention coverage):
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.5/4; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.4/6; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; "Nightline," 0.8/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
· At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
