CBS (17.19 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1) was the top draw in both total viewers and adults 18-49 on Tuesday thanks to the return of "NCIS" (20.16 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.1, #1) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (16.72 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.4, #3) followed by the premiere of "Vegas" (14.70 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #7).
NBC (7.44 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2) then had to settle for second place with week three of its lineup of "The Voice" (11.25 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 4.0, #2), "Go On" (7.27 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T4), "The New Normal" (5.24 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T9) and "Parenthood" (4.81 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.8, #13).
Next up was FOX (4.86 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.5, #3) with the season premiere of "New Girl" (5.33 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T4) alongside the debut of "Ben & Kate" (4.19 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T9), a second "New Girl" (5.19 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T4) and the launch of "The Mindy Project" (4.73 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 2.4, #8).
Meanwhile, ABC (9.89 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4) offered up night two of the "Dancing with the Stars" (11.56 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T9) premiere as well as the return of "Private Practice" (6.56 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #12).
