FOX Propelled to Premiere Week Win Among Adults 18-34 and Teens
FOX spins the numbers for the week of September 24-30.

FOX PROPELLED TO PREMIERE WEEK WIN AMONG ADULTS 18-34 AND TEENS BY TUESDAY NIGHT COMEDY BLOCK AND SUNDAY ANIMATED LINE-UP COMBINED WITH "THE X FACTOR," "BONES," AND "GLEE"

Last week, the premiere of FOX's Tuesday comedy block and the return of the Sunday Animation line-up combined with THE X FACTOR, BONES and GLEE to lead the network to a premiere week win among Adults 18-34 and Teens. For the week, FOX ranked No. 2 among Adults 18-49.

FOX had the following shows in the Top 20 programs of the week:

· 4 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: SIMPSONS (No. 9), THE X FACTOR-WED (No. 13 tie), FAMILY GUY (No. 16) and THE X FACTOR-THU (No. 17 tie).

· 9 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: FAMILY GUY (No. 3 tie), SIMPSONS (No. 3 tie), NEW GIRL SP-9/25 8PM (No. 10 tie), NEW GIRL (No. 12 tie), THE X FACTOR-WED (No. 12 tie), AMERICAN DAD (No. 14), BOB'S BURGERS (No. 15), THE X FACTOR-THU (No. 16 tie) and MINDY PROJECT (No. 18 tie).

Week two of BONES posted a 2.3/6, even with the previous week's premiere in both Adults 18-49 (9/17/12, 2.3/7) and up +5% among Adults 18-34 (2.0/6 vs. 1.9/6).

At 9p the second episode of THE MOB DOCTOR did a 1.3/3 in Adults 18-49.

TUESDAY

On Tuesday, FOX ranked No. 3 for the night in Adults 18-49 and won the night in Adults 18-34. FOX outperformed the No. 2 network for the night (NBC) in Adults 18-34 by +27% (2.8 vs. 2.2).

FOX aired four of the top five programs of the night in Women 18-34. NEW GIRL at 8p was the second highest-rated program of the night in Adults 18-34 (behind NBC's The Voice.)

With its first episode this season, a special telecast of NEW GIRL at 8p posted a 2.8/9 in Adults 18-49 and retained 100% of NEW GIRL's finale rating last spring in Adults 18-49 (2.8 on 5/8/12, 9p). NEW GIRL at 8p was the highest rated program of the night in Men 18-34 and won the 8p half hour in Adults 18-34.

At 8:30p the debut of BEN AND KATE posted a 2.1/6 among Adults 18-49. BEN AND KATE produced a very strong 3.0 rating in the core demo of Women 18-34.

A second original episode of NEW GIRL at 9p posted a 2.8/8, retaining 100% of its finale last spring in Adults 18-49 (2.8 on 5/8/12). NEW GIRL at 9p tied as the second highest-rated program of the night in Teens and won the 9p half hour in Adults 18-34 and Teens.

The series debut of THE MINDY PROJECT at 9:30p delivered a 2.4/6 in Adults 18-49. THE MINDY PROJECT was up vs. Raising Hope's 9:30p season average last year by +4% in Adults 18-49 (2.4 vs. 2.3) and +17% in Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 2.3).

THE MINDY PROJECT retained 86% of its NEW GIRL lead-in among Adults 18-49, higher than last year's season premiere of Raising Hope out of NEW GIRL in the 9:30p half hour (65%).

In head to head competition in the 9:30p half hour, THE MINDY PROJECT outperformed NBC's The New Normal by +20% in Adults 18-49 (2.4 vs. 2.0) and +80% in Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 1.5). THE MINDY PROJECT won the 9:30p half hour in Adults 18-34.

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 THE X FACTOR: (A18 49: 3.4/10, 9.6 Mil Total Viewers)

FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens. In fact, FOX outperformed the No. 2 networks of the night by +17% in Adults 18-49 (3.4 vs. 2.9 for ABC and CBS) and +41% in Adults 18-34 (3.1 vs. 2.2 for ABC).

Facing the most amount of original competition so far this season, THE X FACTOR posted 3.4/10 among Adults 18-49 and was up +1% from the previous week in Total Viewers (9.6 Mil. vs. 9.5 Mil.).

THE X FACTOR was the second highest-rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

THE X FACTOR showed substantial growth in its last half hour vs. its first: +24% in Adults 18-49 (3.6 vs. 2.9) and +23% in Total Viewers (10.2 vs. 8.3 Mil.)

THURSDAY

8:00-9:00 THE X FACTOR: (Adults 18-49: 3.2/10, 9.4 Mil Total Viewers)

On Thursday, FOX ranked No. 3 for the night in Adults 18-49 and won the night in Adults 18-34 and Teens.

THE X FACTOR posted a 3.2/10 among Adults 18-49. In the face of premiere competition this week THE X FACTOR showed solid retention from the previous week in Adults 18-49 (94%, Wed/Thu).

THE X FACTOR was up from Wednesday's telecast by +13% in Teens (2.7/11 vs. 2.4/9) and was the highest rated program of the night in Teens.

THE X FACTOR showed substantial growth in its last half hour vs. its first: +21% in Adults 18-49 (3.5 vs. 2.9) and +19% in Total Viewers (10.2 vs. 8.6 Mil.)

Airing against the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy (complete with plane-crash-cliffhanger resolution), GLEE did a 2.4/7 among Adults 18-49. GLEE ranked No. 2 in its hour in Adults 18-34 and won the hour in Teens.

THE SIMPSONS was the second highest-rated entertainment program of the night in Adults 18-49 (just one-tenth behind Once Upon A Time) and tied with FAMILY GUY as the highest-rated entertainment program in Adults 18-34.

Following at 8:30p the season premiere of BOB'S BURGERS posted a 2.6/6, up +37% from last year's March debut (3/11/12) and its season average (both 1.9).

At 9p the season premiere of FAMILY GUY did a 3.3/8 among Adults 18-49, up +10% from its season average (vs. 3.0). FAMILY GUY tied THE SIMPSONS as the highest-rated entertainment program of the night in Adults 18-34.

The AMERICAN DAD season premiere at 9:30p did a 2.5/6, showing an advantage of +9% over its season average last year (vs. 2.3).
