DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S "YUKON MEN" DOMINATES FRIDAY NIGHT
(Silver Spring, Md.) - Discovery Channel's freshman series YUKON MEN was the top program in cable among Men (excluding sports) and easily won this past Friday night. YUKON MEN once again produced stellar ratings on Friday, October 12th at 10pm ET/PT. YUKON MEN was the #1 non-sports program in cable among PM25-54 and M18-49. Earning a 1.41 HH / 1.12 P25-54 / 1.41 M25-54, the one-hour program delivered an average of 2.02 million viewers P2+.
The premiere season of YUKON MEN follows the residents of Tanana, Alaska as they face one of the most brutal winters on record. People struggle to find food and heat; battle life-threatening predators just to survive. Boys grow into men quickly here because they must help the family survive. Father-son bonding and tensions take on a new meaning in this environment. The stakes are high in Tanana, and to defy the odds, to survive and to battle the harsh Alaskan wilderness, the residents must overcome obstacles, stick together and prevail.
