"Baby's First Christmas", The 12th And Final New Original Movie Of The Year, Is The #1 Cable Program of Saturday And #1 Cable Movie of the Week, Delivering a 2.8 HH RTG
Hallmark Channel wraps up its "Countdown to Christmas" original holiday movies on a high note, claiming the #1 Saturday cable movie for the seventh consecutive week. Launched Saturday, November 3, the 12 original movie premieres averaged a 2.6 household rating and have reached more than 21.1 million unduplicated viewers. These new original holiday premieres elevated Hallmark Channel to average a 2.3 household rating for weekend prime time, ranking #1 in household rating and #1 in W25-54 rating from November 3 to December 16.
During holiday 2012, 5 of Hallmark Channel's 12 new original holiday movies ranked as the #1 cable program of the day including:
- "Baby's First Christmas" (Saturday, December 15) 2.8 HH RTG
- "Help for the Holidays" (Sunday, December 9) 3.0 HH RTG
- "A Bride for Christmas" (Saturday, December 1) 3.0 HH RTG
- "Naughty or Nice" (Saturday, November 24) 2.6 HH RTG
- "Matchmaker Santa" (Saturday, November 17) 3.0 HH RTG
Hallmark Channel's 2012 holiday programming has attracted 56.3 million viewers overall to-date. "Countdown to Christmas" will culminate on January 2 with the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade.
The recent Saturday, December 15 premiere of "Baby's First Christmas" garnered a 2.8 household rating with 4.7 million unduplicated viewers. "Baby's First Christmas" was the #1 program on all of cable for the day in addition to the #1 cable movie of the week, making the film Hallmark Channel's 5th highest original movie of the year among households and total viewers. Among W25-54 rating, "Baby's First Christmas" was the #1 cable telecast for the Saturday as well as the #3 movie of the week. In the 8p-10p time period, the film ranked in the top 10 for key demo ratings, including #1 in HH (2.8 rtg), W25-54 (1.3 rtg), and P2+ (1.4 rtg). "Baby's First Christmas also placed #1 in HH (2,443,000), W25-54 (597,000) and P2+ (3,174,000) delivery. The original holiday film propelled Hallmark Channel to be the #1 cable network in prime time for Saturday among households and W25-54 (2.4 HH rtg and 1.2 W25-54 rtg) and the #1 cable network for the day among W25-54 (.7 rtg).
In "Baby's First Christmas", Kyle Lockwood (Van Dien) and Jenna Ford (Wilson), feuding colleagues who could not be more different, are thrown together after their siblings fall in love and they are forced to get along in time for their nephew's birth on Christmas day. In the midst of all the Christmas Eve chaos, Jenna and Kyle find there is a romantic spark between them. However, when Jenna discovers Kyle's law firm represents the company taking over the family's home, Kyle needs a Christmas miracle to right all wrongs. Stars Casper Van Dien and Rachel Wilson.
