Tuesday Results:
* At 8 p.m. ET, "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.6/5 in 18-49,
5.6 million viewers overall) captured the show's highest 18-49 rating for an 8 p.m. telecast since April 25, 2012 (1.7). In the time slot, "Rockers" finished within 0.3 of a rating point of the slot lead among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49. Week to week, the 8 p.m.
"Rockers" is up 7 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.5) and up 3 percent in total viewers (5.596 million vs. 5.410 million).
* At 8:30 p.m. ET, a second telecast of "Betty White's Off Their
Rockers" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) tied for the show's second-highest 8:30 rating ever, behind only this season's time-slot premiere (1.9 on January 8). Last night's 8:30 "Rockers"
ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox in adults 18-49, finishing within 0.3 of the slot lead among those networks. Versus its lead-in, the 8:30 "Rockers" grew by 13 percent in 18-49 rating and 6 percent in total viewers.
* At 9 p.m. ET "Go On" averaged a 1.3/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million
viewers overall. At 9:30, "The New Normal" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) retained 92 percent of its 18-49 lead-in from "Go On."
* From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Parenthood" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.8 million in
total viewers) ranked #1 in the hour over the drama competition on ABC and CBS in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, making this the seventh straight "Parenthood" to out-rate the ABC and CBS drama competition in the slot in 18-49. Note that CBS's "Vegas" was in rebroadcast last night.
* From its first half-hour to its second, "Parenthood" maintained
its 18-49 rating and grew by 5 percent in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 2.1) and
4 percent in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 4.7 million), while the ABC and CBS competition declined half-hour to half-hour in each of those measures. In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Parenthood" delivered a
22 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 2.2 rating vs. a 1.8 for ABC's second-place "Private Practice"), up from a 5 percent margin from 10-10:30 (2.1 vs. 2.0 for "Private Practice").
* Keep in mind that last season, "Parenthood" originals added an
average of 47 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings in
18-49 when Nielsen reported "live plus seven day" results.
* NBC is tied for #2 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in
adults 18-49.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results
were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in
metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4
in metered-market households with an encore telecast) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an
encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in
metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
