FOX Ranks No. 1 Among Adults 18-34 on Five Nights this Week

FOX's week was highlighted by strong performances from THE FOLLOWING, BONES RAISING HOPE, NEW GIRL, THE MINDY PROJECT and AMERICAN IDOL. BONES and THE FOLLOWING combined to deliver FOX's highest-rated Monday in one year with entertainment programming in Adults 18-49 and in Total Viewers, while the Tuesday comedies led the network to top the night among Adults 18-34. Powerhouse AMERICAN IDOL's Wednesday telecast grew +5% among Adults 18-34 compared to the same night last year. FOX ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34 on five nights this week and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49 on four nights. For the week, FOX ranked No. 2 among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens. Excluding the Super Bowl, FOX won the week with entertainment programming among Adults 18-49.

For the week, FOX had:

· 5 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: AMERICAN IDOL- WED (No. 4), AMERICAN IDOL- THU (No. 6), THE FOLLOWING (No. 9), NEW GIRL (No. 14 tie) and BONES (No. 14 tie).

FOX won the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and Adults 18-34. This is the first Monday FOX has won this season in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers. In fact, it was FOX's highest-rated Monday in one year with entertainment programming in Adults 18-49 (since 1/23/12) and in Total Viewers (since 1/16/12).

At 8p BONES (2.6/7) grew +13% from the previous week in Adults 18-49 (2.3/6) and +24% from its season average for originals (2.1/6). This was BONES' highest-rated telecast in over one year in Adults 18-49 (since 12/1/11) and in Total Viewers (since 11/3/11). BONES was the second-highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers, behind THE FOLLOWING, and won the 8p hour in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.

Week two of THE FOLLOWING (3.3/8) increased +3% from the previous week's debut in Adults 18-49 (3.2/8) and gained +17% in Adults 18-34 (2.7/8 vs. 2.3/6). THE FOLLOWING was the highest-rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and Adults 18-34.

With its +3% growth week to week in Adults 18-49, THE FOLLOWING is the only new drama this season to increase with its second telecast (highest profile new dramas this season dropped substantially in week two: Revolution -17%, Elementary -19%, Nashville -29%). THE FOLLOWING grew over its BONES lead-in by +27% in Adults 18-49 (3.3/8 vs. 2.6/7).

On Tuesday, FOX ranked No. 2 for the night in Adults 18-49 and No. 1 for the night in Adults 18-34 (tie) and Teens. This was FOX's highest-rated Tuesday night in Adults 18-49 in over three months (since 10/23/12). FOX aired the top four comedies of the night in Adults 18-49.

RAISING HOPE delivered a 1.7/5 at 8p, followed by a second original at 830p which did a 1.6/4.

NEW GIRL (2.6/7) was up +18% week-to-week in Adults 18-49 (vs. 2.2/6) and +13% from its season norm (2.3/6). NEW GIRL was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-34 and Teens and achieved its highest ratings in over three months in Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (since 10/23/12).

THE MINDY PROJECT (1.7/4) was up +13% from the previous week (1.5/4) and +6% from its season norm for originals (1.6/4). THE MINDY PROJECT posted its highest rating in nearly four months in Adults 18-49 (since 10/9/12). THE MINDY PROJECT tied as the No. 1 program in its half hour in Adults 18-34 and ranked No. 2 in Adults 18-49.

WEDNESDAY

8:00-10:00 AMERICAN IDOL: (A18 49: 5.5/15, 15.8 Mil Total Viewers)

FOX won Wednesday night in all key demos and outperformed the combined 3-net competition by +12% in Adults 18-49 (5.5 vs. 4.9 for ABC/CBS/NBC), +29% in Adults 18-34 (4.4 vs. 3.4 for ABC/CBS/NBC) and the next highest-rated network of the night, CBS by +100% in Total Viewers (15.8 vs. 7.9 Mil).

AMERICAN IDOL posted a 5.5/15 in Adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year, AMERICAN IDOL improved by +5% in Adults 18-34 (4.4/14 vs. 4.2/14). AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and all key demos, besting the No. 2 program by +150% in Adults 18-49 (5.5/15 vs. 2.2/6 for ABC's Modern Family repeat) and +63% in Total Viewers (15.8 Mil vs. 9.7 Mil CBS' Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials special).

FOX ranked No. 2 for the night in Adults 18-49 and won the night in Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-49/18-34 and Men 18-34. In Adults 18-34, FOX outperformed the next highest rated network, CBS by +50% (3.0/9 vs. 2.0/6).

AMERICAN IDOL delivered a 4.5/13 among Adults 18-49. AMERICAN IDOL was the second-highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49 (behind CBS' The Big Bang Theory), the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-34 (tied with The Big Bang Theory) and the highest rated of the night in Teens.

So far in its first six nights AMERICAN IDOL has out-rated The Voice's six-night average by +25% in Adults 18-49 (5.5/15 vs. 4.4/12), +31% in Adults 18-34 (4.6/14 vs. 3.5/11) and +29% in Total Viewers (16.2 Mil vs. 12.6 Mil).

At 9p, GLEE posted a 2.1/6 in Adults 18-49. GLEE was the second-highest rated program of the night in Teens, behind AMERICAN IDOL (tie).
