MONDAY'S 'BIGGEST LOSER' TOPS ITS YEAR-AGO 18-49 RATING BY 9 PERCENT

'CHICAGO FIRE' IN JANUARY DELIVERED ITS THREE BIGGEST OVERALL AUDIENCES TO DATE AND THREE OF ITS TOP FOUR 18-49 RATINGS

FRIDAY'S 'NAACP IMAGE AWARDS' HITS A FOUR-YEAR HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - February 5, 2013 - NBC has delivered a 1.2 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of January 28-February 3, according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.

Ranking among the top 30 primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox last week were: "The Biggest Loser," #16; "Chicago Fire" and "The Office," tied for #19; and "30 Rock" and a special second edition of "The Office," tied for #24. Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows and other non-game segments.

Primetime averages for the week of January 28-February 3 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 8.9/23; Fox, 2.2/6; ABC, 1.4/4; NBC, 1.2/3; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 28.0 million; Fox, 6.2 million; ABC, 4.7 million; NBC, 3.9 million; and CW, 1.6 million.

Season to date averages through eight weeks are: CBS, 3.2/9; NBC, 2.8/8; Fox, 2.5/7; ABC, 2.2/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.6 million; NBC, 8.1 million; ABC, 7.8 million; Fox, 6.9 million; and CW, 1.8 million.

NBC highlights for the week of January 28-February 3

Monday: "The Biggest Loser" (2.3 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) topped its fourth episode of one year ago by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (2.3 vs. 2.1) and was also up week to week in total viewers by 1 percent (6.2 million vs. 6.1 million). At 10:01 p.m. ET, "Deception" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) grew week to week in total viewers by 3 percent (3.731 million vs. 3.611 million).

Tuesday: "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. ET; 1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall at 8:30) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in those time periods in total viewers.

At 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million in total viewers) grew from its first half-hour to its second in every key ratings category, including gains of 25 percent in 18-49 (to a 1.5 from a 1.2), 24 percent in adults 25-54 (2.1 vs. 1.7) and 18 percent in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.5 million).

Wednesday: "Chicago Fire" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the 10-11 p.m. ET hour versus encore dramas on ABC and CBS in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key ratings categories.

With its three January originals, "Chicago Fire" delivered its three biggest total-viewer results to date and three of its four highest 18-49 ratings. "Chicago Fire" has now topped its premiere 1.9 rating in 18-49 on four different occasions (including three times in January). The only other new drama on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox to top its premiere rating even once this season is Fox's "The Following." In total viewers, "Chicago Fire" has topped its premiere result (6.6 million) six times, while no other new drama on those networks has done it even once.

At 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.7/4 in adults 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 55 percent in 18-49 rating and by 120 percent in total viewers.

Thursday: The series finale of "30 Rock" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) delivered the show's highest rating since March 15, 2012 and biggest overall audience in two years, since January 27, 2011. "30 Rock" grew versus the prior week by 36 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.4) and by 28 percent or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 3.8 million).

From 9-10:01 p.m. ET, two episodes of "The Office" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall at 9; 1.9/5 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall at 9:31) ranked #1 in their time periods among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34 and ranked #2 among those networks in men 18-49 and 25-54. The second "Office" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the slot with comedy programming since October 4 and biggest overall audience for an NBC comedy in the half-hour since January 19, 2012.

Friday: "The 44th Annual NAACP Awards" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) delivered the event's biggest overall audience in four years, since 2009, and matched its highest adult 18-49 rating since that same year. Versus last year, the telecast was up 3 percent in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.9 million) and even in 18-49 rating.

Saturday: "American Ninja Warrior" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period, excluding NFL coverage, since the December 1 airing of "It's a Wonderful Life."

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."
