Thursday Results:
* At 8 p.m. ET, "Community" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) grew week to week in total viewers by 12 percent (to 3.078 million persons vs.. 2.760 million) in a highly competitive time period opposite CBS's "Big Bang Theory," Fox's "American Idol," ABC's "Zero Hour" and CW's "Vampire Diaries." "Community" is running within a tenth of a point of last week's 1.2 rating in official nationals and is matching last week's 1.1 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings.
* From 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "Parks and Recreation" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 18 percent in 18-49 rating. From 9-9:31 p.m. ET, a second telecast of "Parks and Recreation" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall) grew versus its prior half-hour by 8 percent in 18-49 rating.
* From 9:31-10:01 p.m. ET, "1600 Penn" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall, finishing within a tenth of a rating point of its prior telecast in 18-49 rating after being preempted last week. Last night's "1600 Penn" retained 71 percent of its 18-49 lead-in, up from 52 percent for its prior telecast on February 7 (with a 1.1 rating vs. a 2.1 for "The Office").
* From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1//3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) is up versus last week's rebroadcast in this time period by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and 16 percent in total viewers (3.859 million vs. 3.331 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew in every key ratings measure: adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
* The "Law & Order: SVU" encore locked up NBC's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in this time period in five weeks (since January 17).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.9/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.5/7.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.8/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/5.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) trailed CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.5/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.5/3).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
