CBS Only Network to Post Year-to-Year Growth in Viewers and Adults 18-49

#1 Network Maintains its Season-to-Date Half-a-Ratings-Point Lead Among Adults 18-49

CBS Has the Top Four Dramas in Adults 18-49

CBS was the #1 network in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the fourth consecutive week and the only network to post year-to-year growth in both viewers and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 14, Week 29 of the 2012-2013 television season.

Among adults 18-49, CBS had the top broadcast of the week (CBS NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME) and the top four dramas (CRIMINAL MINDS, NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (tie). In all, CBS had six of the top 10 broadcasts in adults 18-49 (CBS NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, PRELUDE TO A CHAMPIONSHIP, THE BIG BANG THEORY, CRIMINAL MINDS, NCIS and NCIS: LOS ANGELES).

A rebroadcast of THE BIG BANG THEORY delivered more viewers than all scripted programs on the competition and beat every scripted program except a first-run "Modern Family" in adults 18-49. A rebroadcast of THE BIG BANG THEORY also beat "American Idol" in key demos in the common half-hour. PERSON OF INTEREST rebroadcast delivered more viewers than any other drama on the competition.

Season-to-date, CBS maintains its half-a-ratings-point advantage in adults 18-49 over second place FOX (3.0 vs. 2.5), while also continuing to lead in viewers and adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.83m), ABC (6.05m), NBC (5.91m) and FOX (5.07m). Season-to-date: CBS (12.14m), ABC (7.84m), FOX (7.09m) and NBC (7.04m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08).

CBS was first in adults 25-54 for the fifth consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 for the fourth straight week. Compared to the same week last year (which did not have the NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME and THE MASTERS coverage in primetime), CBS was up +19% in households, +18% in viewers, +14% in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

For the week in households: CBS (6.9/11), ABC (3.9/06), FOX (3.7/06) and NBC (3.3/05). Season-to-date: CBS (7.5/12), ABC (5.0/08), NBC (4.4/07) and FOX (4.3/07).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

PRELUDE TO A CHAMPIONSHIP (S) (9:00-9:17 PM) delivered a 7.5/11 in households with 11.78m viewers and 4.4/11 in adults 25-54, 3.6/10 in adults 18-49, 2.8/09 in adults 18-34, 5.3/14 in men 25-54, 4.5/14 in men 18-49 and 3.4/12 in men 18-34. Compared to the same special last year, CBS was up +6% in households, +5% in adults 25-54, +3% in viewers, even in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and men 18-34.

NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME "Michigan vs., Louisville" (S) (9:15-11:36 PM) posted a 14.0/22 in households with 23.43m viewers, 9.0/22 in adults 25-54, 8.4/22 in adults 18-49, 7.5/23 in adults 18-34, 11.7/29 in men 25-54, 10.9/30 in men 18-49 and 9.9/31 in men 18-34. CBS led the 9:00-11:00PM time period in households, viewers, key men and adult demos.

Compared to the same event last year ("Kansas vs. Kentucky"), CBS was up +14% in both households and adults 25-54, +11% in adults 18-49, +10% in both adults 18-34 and men 18-34, +15% in men 25-54, +8% in men 18-49 and +12% in viewers.

NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME posted the event's best deliveries in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since 2010; in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 25-54 and men 18-49 since 2005; and men 18-34 since 2011.

Nielsen Media Research reports that 46.5m viewers watched all or part of Monday's game, the largest viewer total for the NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME since 2010's Duke-Butler match-up (48.1m viewers).

-- On Tuesday, CBS was first in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.10m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and second in adults 18-49 (2.3/06). CBS won its sixth consecutive night in viewers.

NCIS was first in households (10.8/17) and viewers (17.22m) and was second in both adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (2.7/09). NCIS was the night's top program in both households and viewers and the top scripted program in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (tied with NCIS: LOS ANGELES).

NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (8.9/13), viewers (14.10m), adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/07). Compared to the last first-run episode (on March 26, 2013), NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/09) and +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/07). NCIS: LOS ANGELES was tied with NCIS as the #1 scripted program in adults 18-49 and the #2 program overall behind NCIS in both households and viewers.

GOLDEN BOY was first in adults 18-49 (1.5/04), tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.2/06, with ABC) and was second in both households (5.2/09) and viewers (7.89m). Compared to last week, GOLDEN BOY was up +10% in adults 25-54 (from 2.0/05), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 1.3/04), even in households and added +60,000 viewers (from 7.83m, +1%).

SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN was second in households (5.8/09), viewers (9.38m), adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN was up +2% in households, +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.5/08), even in adults 25-54 and added +130,000 viewers (from 9.25m, +1%).

CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (7.3/11) and viewers (11.47m), and was tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.9/09, with ABC). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +6% in households (from 6.9/10), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 3.7/09), +7% in adults 18-49 (3.0/08 from 2.8/07) and added +680,000 viewers (from 10.79m, +6%).

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (7.2/12), viewers (11.11m), adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). Compared to last week, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was up +14% in both households (from 6.3/10) and adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 3.0/07) and added +1.22m viewers (from 9.89m, +12%). CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION posted its best deliveries in both viewers and adults 25-54 since Jan. 23, 2013 and its best adults 18-49 rating since Feb. 6, 2013.

-- On Friday, CBS was first in households (5.4/09), viewers (8.43m) and adults 25-54 (1.9/05), and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.2/04, with ABC).

UNDERCOVER BOSS was first in households (4.8/09), viewers (7.46m), adults 25-54 (2.2/07) and adults 18-49 (1.5/06).

BLUE BLOODS was first in households (6.7/12), viewers (10.65m) and adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and was second in adults 18-49 (1.3/04). BLUE BLOODS was Friday's #1 program in viewers and households.

-- On Sunday, CBS was first in households (8.1/13), viewers (12.87m), adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08) for the seventh consecutive Sunday and the eighth time in nine weeks. CBS's Masters Tournament Coverage from 7:00-7:57 PM posted a 12.0/21 with 19.48m viewers, 6.0/17 in adults 25-54 and 4.6/16 in adults 18-49.

60 MINUTES (7:57-8:57 PM) was first in households (8.0/13), viewers (12.62m), adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). 60 MINUTES posted its best deliveries in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since Jan. 13, 2013 and its best adults 18-49 rating since March 24, 2013.

THE AMAZING RACE 22 (8:57-9:57 PM) was first in households (6.0/09), viewers (9.76m), adults 25-54 (3.3/07) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.3/06, with FOX). THE AMAZING RACE posted its largest audience since Dec. 2, 2012.

THE GOOD WIFE (9:57-10:57 PM) was first in households (6.7/11), viewers (10.14m) and adults 25-54 (2.6/06), and was second in adults 18-49 (1.7/05, -0.1 behind NBC). THE GOOD WIFE posted its best delivery in adults 25-54 since Jan. 13, 2013 and largest audience since April 22, 2012.
