UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 10, 2013 - NBC has finished #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 for the primetime week of July 1-7, averaging a 1.2 rating, 4 share in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.. It's NBC's second consecutive 18-49 weeklong win among those networks.

NBC is now tied for #2 in 18-49 for the 2012-13 broadcast year to date and is matching its rating at this point one year ago, making it the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox to avoid a year-to-year decline in 18-49 rating for the 41 weeks of the broadcast year to date. NBC is also #2 among those networks in adults 18-34 and tied for #2 in adults 25-54 for the 2012-13 broadcast year.

Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" was the week's #1 reality show and #2 show overall in adults 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. "Talent" was also the #1 reality show of the week on those networks in total viewers, adults, men and women 25-54; men and women 18-49; adults and men 18-34, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Thursday's "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" delivered the biggest 9-10 p.m. overall audience (8.9 million) ever for the annual special, which has aired 14 times on NBC starting in 2000.

Top-rated shows on NBC for the week included Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" (#2 for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49), "American Ninja Warrior" (tied for #6), "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks(R) Spectacular" (tied for #10), Thursday's "Macy's" recap (tied for #14), Friday's "Dateline NBC" (tied for #14), "Siberia" (tied for #20) and Wednesday's "Talent" encore (tied for #20).

NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 for the week among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

Primetime averages for the week of July 1-7 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 1.2/4; CBS, 1.1/4; Fox, 0.9/3; ABC, 0.8/3; and CW, 0.2/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 5.1 million; NBC, 4.7 million; ABC, 3.3 million; Fox, 2.6 million; and CW, 0.6 million.

Averages for the 2012-13 Broadcast Year to date are: CBS, 2.6/8; Fox, 2.3/7; NBC, 2.3/7; ABC, 2.2/6; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.9 million; ABC, 7.6 million; NBC, 6.8 million; Fox, 6.5 million; and CW, 1.6 million.

NBC highlights for the week of July 1-7:

Monday: The NBC season premiere of "American Ninja Warrior" (1.7 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) grew dramatically through its time period, increasing by 54% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 (to a 2.0 from a 1.3) and by 27% or 1.2 million persons in total viewers (5.6 million vs. 4.4 million).

For its second hour, "Ninja" ranked #1 in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox (with a 1.9 rating for that hour), as well as all key adult-male demos.

The debut of "Siberia" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked #2 or tied for #2 in the slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos. From its first half-hour to its second, "Siberia" maintained its full rating in adults 18-49 (with a 1.1 rating each half-hour) and adults 25-54 (1.3), while rival original dramas on ABC and CBS declined half-hour to half-hour in both demos.

Tuesday: NBC won Tuesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and virtually all other key measures, led by the #1 show of the night on those networks in 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories, "America's Got Talent" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Talent" topped the encore-drama competition on ABC and CBS combined in every key category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Wednesday: An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) finished #2 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and #1 in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" grew by 56 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 0.9).

For its second hour from 9-10 p.m., the "Talent" encore ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

A rebroadcast of "Chicago Fire" (0.6/2 in adults 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) ranked #1 among those ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 18-34.

Thursday: NBC rocketed to #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures with the #1 and #2 shows of the night, the 8-10 p.m. ET "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks(R) Spectacular" (1.5/7 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) and the 10-11 p.m. recap special (1.3/6 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.). It was NBC's first Thursday win in 18-49 since it carried NFL football in primetime last Thanksgiving, November 22, 2012. From its first half-hour to its fourth, the Macy's 8-10 p.m. ET telecast grew by 167% (to a 2.4 rating from a 0.9). In total viewers, the growth was 109% or 5.7 million persons (10.9 million vs. 5.2 million).

Comparing this year's second hour from 9-10 p.m. ET to last year's 9-10 telecast, the 2013 special grew by 11% in 18-49 rating (with a 2.0 vs. a 1.8) and 10% in total viewers (8.919 million vs. 8.116 million). The 8.9 million average from 9-10 p.m. ET is the biggest "Macy's" audience in the 9 p.m. hour ever among the special's 14 annual telecasts dating back to 2000. The 2.0 rating from 9-10 p.m. is "Macy's" second-highest 9-10 result since 2007.

From 10-11 p.m. ET, the recap telecast ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demographics and grew versus last year's encore by 8% in 18-49 rating (with a 1.3 vs. a 1.2) and 10% in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.9 million).

Friday: NBC tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox Friday night in adults 18-49 (1.1 each for NBC and ABC), led by the top show of the night on those networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, "Dateline NBC" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET). "Dateline" matched its top Friday 18-49 rating since May 31. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 50% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.0) and 48% or nearly 2.1 million persons in total viewers (6.4 million vs. 4.4 million).

Saturday: An encore "American Ninja Warrior" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 60% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 from a 0.5), 67% in adults 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.6) and 53% in total viewers (2.7 million vs. 1.7 million)..

"Do No Harm" (0.4/1 in 18-49, 1.6 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) improved by a tenth of a rating point in 18-49 week to week. From its first half-hour to its second, this week's "Do No Harm" held steady or grew in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and most other key measures.

Sunday: An encore "America's Got Talent" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 25% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.8) and 17% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.5 million), making these the top results so far this season among four "Talent" encores in the Sunday 7-9 p.m. slot. In the time period, the "Talent" rebroadcast is #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers and adults 25-54.

A rebroadcast "Law & Order: SVU" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) maintained or increased its rating from half-hour to half-hour in every key category.

"Crossing Lines" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained its full 18-49 rating of the prior week. In the time period, "Crossing Lines" ranked #1 or tied for #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 among ABC, CBS and NBC.
