ABC's "Whodunnit?" Is Up 10% to Best-Since-Debut Numbers
Building on its lead-in at 8pm in and gaining audience throughout its broadcast, ABC's Secret Millionaire grew 15% over its year-ago telecast in the hour among Total Viewers and held even in Adults 18-49. Secret Millionaire was up from its week-ago premiere in Men 18-34 (+17%), equaling ABC's top non-sports rating in the time period this summer.
Increasing on its young adult lead-in (+10%) at 9pm and growing from start to finish, ABC's Whodunnit? was up week to week in viewers (+10%) and young adults (+10%). The show drew its biggest audience since its season premiere 7 weeks ago and matched a best-since-debut Adult 18-49 rating - since 6/23/13. Whodunnit? improved its time period by 27% in Total Viewers and 38% in Adults 18-49 over original programming on the same night last year.

Building on its lead-in at 8:00 p.m. and gaining audience throughout its broadcast, ABC's "Secret Millionaire" grew 15% over its year-ago telecast in the hour among Total Viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.0 million) and held even in Adults 18-49 (1.0/3).
· "Secret Millionaire" was up from its week-ago premiere in Men 18-34 (+17%), equaling ABC's top non-sports rating in the time period this summer.

Increasing on its young adult lead-in (+10%) at 9:00 p.m. and growing from start to finish, ABC's "Whodunnit?" was up week to week in viewers (+10% - 3.3 million vs. 3.0 million) and young adults (+10% - 1.1/3 vs. 1.0/3). The show drew its biggest audience since its season premiere 7 weeks ago and matched a best-since-debut Adult 18-49 rating - since 6/23/13.
· "Whodunnit?" improved its time period by 27% in Total Viewers and 38% in Adults 18-49 over original programming on the same night last year ("Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" = 2.6 million and 0.8/2 on 8/12/12).
A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 48% currently, from 45% at the same point in 2011. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
