With one week of summer left to go, TNT's Rizzoli & Isles and Major Crimes continue to dominate the charts. The two shows ranked as basic cable's Top 2 scripted programs for the week among total viewers. They also ranked among basic cable's Top 3 dramas for the week among adults 25-54.
Last Tuesday's episode of Rizzoli & Isles has grown to 7.4 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, up slightly over the prior week. The episode has also drawn 2.5 million adults 25-54 (+6% vs. the prior week) and 2.0 million adults 18-49 (+1% vs. the prior week).
Last Monday's episode of Major Crimes has so far garnered 6.9 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, a slight uptick vs. the prior week. Among key demos, last week's episode has drawn 2.0 million adults 25-54 (+8%) and 1.5 million adults 18-49 (+10%).
Tuesday's episode of Perception has attracted 4.7 million in Live + 3 delivery (+1% vs. the prior week). Among key demos, the episode has drawn 1.8 million adults 25-54 (+9%) and 1.3 million adults 18-49 (flat vs. the prior week).
Also on TNT last week, Monday's season finale of King & Maxwell has averaged 4.8 million viewers in Live+3 delivery (+2% vs. the prior week), including 1.3 million adults 25-54 (+10%) and 1.0 million adults 18-49 (+20%). And Wednesday's season finale of Franklin & Bash has landed 3.0 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery (+1% vs. the prior week), including 1.3 million adults 25-54 (+3%) and more than 1.1 million adults 18-49.
On the time-shifted viewing front, the Aug. 4 season finale of Falling Skies scored a final tally of 5.9 million viewers (+6% vs. the prior week) and 3.2 million adults 25-54 (+14%) in Live + 7. For its third season overall, Falling Skies averaged 5.6 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery and grew its delivery of adults 25-54 (2.9 million) by +4% compared to the second season.
In other time-shifted viewing news, TNT's July 29 episode of Major Crimes topped out with more than 7.0 million viewers and 2.2 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7 delivery. The July 30 episode of Rizzoli & Isles drew a final Live + 7 delivery of 8.0 million viewers and 2.7 million adults 25-54. And the July 30 episode of Perception garnered 5.5 million viewers in Live + 7, including 2 million adults 25-54.
Cartoon Network
Across the third week of August 2013, Cartoon Network's delivery ranked as television's #1 network (7-9 p.m.) among boys 6-11 & 9-14.
Cartoon Network scored as the #1 television network among kids 6-11, 9-14 & all targeted boy demos on Monday and Saturday Night (7-9 p.m.), #1 among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 on Sunday Night, and #1 among boys 6-11 & 9-14 on Tuesday Night.
Monday night's new episode of the Primetime Emmy(R)-winning Regular Show (8 p.m.) ranked the #1 telecast of the week with boys 9-14, #1 for the day among kids 9-14 and boys 6-11 & 9-14, and #1 in its time period among kids 6-11 & 9-14 and all targeted boys. Similarly, a new episode of the Emmy(R)-nominated Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among kids 6-11 & 9-14 and all boy demos, while original animated series MAD (8:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among kids 9-14 and boys 6-11 & 9-14.
Tuesday's new episode of Teen Titans GO! (7:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. Additionally, the new episode of animated series, Johnny Test (7 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 & 9-14, while the new episode of The Looney Tunes Show (8 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period with boys 6-11.
Saturday Morning's new episode premiere of Pokémon BW: Adventures in Unova (8:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 9-14, increasing its delivery among kids 6-11 & 9-14 and boys 6-11 & 9-14 vs. the same time period last year .
Adult Swim
In Primetime (broadcast definition) last week, Adult Swim ranked #1 among basic cable networks for delivery of adults 18-34. Compared to the same week last year, Primetime Delivery increased by significant double digits across all target demos - adults 18-24 by 35%, adults 18-34 by 34%, adults 18-49 by 19%, men 18-24 by 33%, men 18-34 by 30% and men 18-49 by 16%.
Adult Swim's Total Day Delivery average ranked #1 across the board among adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 on basic cable this week. Compared to the same week in 2012, Total Day delivery expanded across the board - adults 18-24 by 36%, adults 18-34 by 34%, adults 18-49 by 28%, men 18-24 by 35%, men 18-34 by 32% and men 18-49 by 23%.
Sunday's new episodes of the original animated series Aqua TV Show Show (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time periods with adults 18-24, 18-34 and men 18-24, while increasing by double-digits across the board vs. the same time period last year. Additionally, the new premiere episode of Squidbillies (12:15 a.m.) increased among all key adults and men 18-24 vs. the same time period last year.
Thursday night's new episode of Adult Swim's original live-action series Childrens Hospital (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time periods among adults 18-24, 18-34, & 18-49 and men 18-24 & 18-34. Similarly, the new episode premiere of NTSF:SD:SUV:: (12:15 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49. Both premieres increased by mostly double-digits with all key adults and men.
The Sunday premiere episode of Bob's Burgers (11 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period with adults 18-24,18-34 and men 18-24,18-34 while increasing among adults 18-24/18-34.Monday night's episode (10 p.m.) increased with all key adults and men 18-34 vs. the same time period last year.
The Saturday night TOONAMI block new episodes of Bleach (12 a.m.), Naruto (12:30 a.m.), One Piece (1 a.m.), Soul Eater (1:30 a.m.) and Sword Art Online (2 a.m.) all ranked #1 in their respective time periods, while all increasing with double and triple-digit growth across the board vs. the same time period last year.
Adult Swim's programming - including Family Guy, Robot Chicken, The Cleveland Show, Bobs Burgers, American Dad and The Boondocks - accounted for 31 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week with adults 18-34, more than any other network.
TBS
TBS won the week as basic cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of adults 18-49 and scored a close second place behind sister network Adult Swim among adults 18-34. TBS continues to hold position as basic cable's #1 network adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 in primetime for the year-to-date.
Thursday night's episode of the hit TBS comedy Sullivan & Son has scored 2.3 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, with 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 587,000 adults 18-34.
TBS's new series Deal With It has posted 2.1 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery (+3% vs. the prior week) for last Wednesday's episode. In key demos, Deal With It has drawn 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 617,000 adults 18-34.
For the week overall, TBS claimed 18 of basic cable's Top 20 primetime sitcom telecasts among total viewers, along with 19 of the Top 20 sitcom telecasts with adults 18-49 and 17 of the Top 20 with adults 18-34.
truTV
truTV's hit series Lizard Lick Towing (Monday at 9 p.m.) attracted more than 1.8 million viewers last week, a +28% jump over the prior week. The show also garnered 1.0 million adults 18-49 (+51%) and 525,000 men 18-49 (+50%), ranking among ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with both demos, as well as among adults 18-34 and men 18-34.
Fan favorite Impractical Jokers (Thursday at 10 p.m.) drew more than 1.6 million viewers last week, a lift of +8% over the prior week. The show also garnered 920,000 adults 18-49 (up slightly vs. the prior week) and 465,000 men 18-49 (+9%). Impractical Jokers drew a median age of only 30, a remarkable 11 years younger than the same timeslot last year.
truTV's Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday at 9 p.m.) drew 2.0 million total viewers last week and ranked as one of ad-supported cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with men 18-49. The show grew its deliveries of adults 18-34 by +52% and men 18-34 by +37%, compared to the prior week.
truTV's South Beach Tow (Wednesday at 10 p.m.) hitched up 1.5 million viewers, including 648,000 adults 18-49 and 296,000 men 18-49. The show scored its youngest median age ever (34) and displayed +20% growth among adults 18-49 and +32% growth among total viewers compared to the same timeslot last year.
