"ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER" RETURNS TO SERIES HIGH RATINGS ON 10/6/13
Sunday night, Discovery Channel's season three premiere of ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER was the #1 ad-supported program (excluding sports) in cable among Men 25-54 delivery.
ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER at 9PM earned a 1.58 HH / 1.07 P25-54 / 1.27 M25-54 rating with an average of 2.38 million total viewers P2+.
The season premiere of ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER welcomed the Kilchers back after another dark and frigid Alaskan winter. Even as the (very) brief spring started to thaw the winter snow over the homestead, the Kilchers had no time for celebration. The clan took full advantage of the nice weather to immediately start restocking the food supply for themselves and their livestock and tackle necessary projects that ensure their survival in the cold winter weather. And this means using every bit of sunlight --- up to 22 hours in the summer --- to get important work accomplished!
This "simple life," however, is far from simple. Living off the grid without running water, they must hunt, gather, garden and raise livestock in order to provide enough food to ensure their family's survival. This year, the family has to conquer glacial rivers, face life and death on and off the homestead, fight against menacing predators, find new sources of food supplies, like octopus, as they also get some exciting family news that brings the Kilchers even closer together and continues their family's heritage.
ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER is back with a brand new episode this Sunday, October 13th at 9pm ET.
