Across the first week of November 2013, Adult Swim's Total Day Delivery average ranked #1 among adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-24 & 18-34 on basic cable. Compared to the same week in 2012, Total Day delivery grew by double digits among each targeted demo: adults 18-24 by 16%, adults 18-34 by 27%, adults 18-49 by 22%, men 18-34 by 15% and men 18-49 by 13%.
Adult Swim also ranked #1 among basic cable networks for Primetime (Broadcast definition) delivery of adults 18-34. Versus the same week in 2012, Primetime delivery increased dramatically across the board - adults 18-24 by 24%, adults 18-34 by 27%, adults 18-49 by 27%, men 18-24 by 15%, men 18-34 by 24% and men 18-49 by 27%.
Among Adult Swim original programming, Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories (Thursday, 12 a.m.) and The Eric Andre Show (12:30 a.m.) both ranked #1 in their respective time periods among men 18-24.
Sunday night's original episode premiere of China, IL (11:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24, increasing delivery year-over-year among all adults 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-34 & 18-49 ranging between 8% and 40%.
On Saturday night's TOONAMI block, Bleach (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and men 18-24 & 18-34. Naruto (12:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among all targeted adults and men 18-24/18-34. One Piece (1 a.m.) and Soul Eater (1:30 a.m.) also ranked #1 in their respective timeslots with adults 18-24 & 18-34 and men 18-24. These episode premieres earned mostly double-digit gains among adults 18-34 & 18-49 and men 18-34 & 18-49 vs. the same time period last year.
Adult Swim programming overall accounted for 22 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week among adults 18-34, and 18 of the top 50 among men 18-34, both more than any other network.
Cartoon Network
Last week, Cartoon Network ranked as television's #1 network among boys 6-11 & 9-14 on Monday Night in Early Prime (7-9 p.m.).
Wednesday Night's Early Prime performance (7-9 p.m.) increased average delivery of all targeted kids & boy demos between 4% and 57% vs. the time period last year. New episode premieres of Johnny Test (7 p.m.) and Teen Titans GO! (7:30 p.m.) also increased average delivery across the board, ranging between 18% and 170%. Teen Titans GO! ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11. Additionally, Friday night's overall performance earned growth across all kids 2-11 (up 12%), 6-11 (up 10%) & 9-14 (up 2%) and boys 2-11 (up 6%).
Saturday morning's action-adventure line-up earned gains among kids 6-11 and boys 6-11, with premiere episodes of Tenkai Knights (7:30 a.m.), Beyblade: Shogun Steel (8 a.m.), and Pokémon B&W: Adventures in Unova (8:30 a.m.) ranking #1 in their respective time periods among boys 9-14.
TNT
Turner Sports' exclusive NBA on TNT Opening Night 2013, featuring the Miami Heat and LeBron James against the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose Tuesday at 8 p.m. - averaged a 3.3 U.S. HH rating and 5.4 million total viewers to become the second most-viewed Opening Night game in the network's history. The Eastern Conference matchup between the Bulls/Heat also ranked as one of basic cable's Top 5 programs for the week with total viewers and young adults and propelled TNT to a win for the night across all cable networks.
TNT's doubleheader on Thursday, Oct. 31 - New York at Chicago and Golden State at the L.A. Clippers - averaged a 1.6 U.S. HH rating and 2.4 million total viewers, both up by +14% over a 1.4 U.S. HH rating and 2.1 million total viewers for the network's first Thursday night last season.
On both nights of the NBA on TNT last week (Tuesday and Thursday), TNT was the most discussed network across both broadcast and cable, according to SocialGuide.
TBS
Tuesday's episode of the new TBS series Trust Me, I'm A Game Show Host averaged 1.3 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery (+3% vs. the prior week). In key demos the show averaged 670,000 adults 18-49 in Live + 3 viewing (+5% vs. the prior week) and 370,000 adults 18-34 (+12%).
The Big Bang Theory on TBS accounted for 19 of basic cable's Top 20 sitcom telecasts for the week among total viewers. The show also claimed 18 of the Top 20 sitcom telecasts for the week among adults 18-49. Last week's lineup included four of the series' popular Halloween episodes on Thursday.
