Thursday Results (Fox carried Saints-Falcons NFL football in the New Orleans market):
· "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34 and tied for #2 in men 18-49 and men 25-54. "Parks" is running within a tenth of a point of last week in adults 18-49 (with a 1.0 rating vs. a 1.1) and within 7% in total viewers (2.812 million vs. 3.030 million). L+3: The prior telecast of "Parks and Recreation" added 33% or 0.38 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 1.52 in L+3 from a 1.14 in L+SD and 22% or 665,000 persons in total viewers (3.695 million vs. 3.030 million).
· UPSCALE: "Parks and Recreation" is the most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks in its concentration of adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes, indexing at a 171 ("most current" including L+3, with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes). The #2 show in the category, ABC's "Modern Family," is currently indexing at a 162.
· "Sean Saves the World" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) maintained its 18-49 rating from last week and was up 13% in total viewers (2.975 million vs. 2.641 million), pending updates. L+3: Last week's "Sean Saves the World" added 32% or 0.28 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 1.16 from a 0.88) and 27% or 722,000 persons in total viewers (3.363 million vs. 2.641 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Sean" increased in rating by 27% or 0.29 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 1.38 from 1.09).
· "The Michael J. Fox Show" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers at 9:30) maintained 100% of its 18-49 lead-in and 100% of the prior week's rating, while growing week to week in total viewers by 11% (2.803 million vs. 2.526 million), pending updates. L+3: Last week's "Michael J. Fox Show" added 36% or 0.32 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 1.21 from a 0.89) and 30% or 761,000 persons in total viewers (3.287 vs. 2.526 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Michael J. Fox" grew by 41% or 0.43 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 1.48 from 1.05).
· "Parenthood" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.) matched last week's 18-49 rating and built on last night's lead-in by 33% in 18-49 rating and 29% in total viewers. Note that "Parenthood" is a highly time-shifted show, with last week's telecast adding 70% to its 18-49 rating going from these L+SD results to L+3 and the most recent "Parenthood" to be measured in L+7 growing by 95% going from L+SD to L+7 (see details below). Despite the 10 p.m. hour, last night's "Parenthood" maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and grew in women 18-34 and women 18-49.
· L+3: Last week's "Parenthood" added 70% or 0.85 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 2.06 from a 1.21) and 53% or 1.987 million persons in total viewers (5.760 million vs. 3.773 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Parenthood" grew by 95% or 1.15 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 2.36 from 1.21).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.4/7.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.9/5.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
