LOS ANGELES, CA (May 1, 2014) - One day after Lifetime ordered ten additional episodes of its all-new hit docuseries Bring It! In its 10:00pm time period, the program, which shines a spotlight on the elite world of hip-hop majorette competitions, averaged 1.2 million Adults 18-49 viewers (+122%) and 1.0 million Adults 25-54 viewers (+125%) in its season one finale - also series bests - as well as 988,000 Women 18-49 viewers (+120%) and 585,000 Women 25-54 viewers (+127%), solidifying Bring It's launch as the network's fastest-growing first season ever.
Also bolstered by Preachers' Daughters, last night was Lifetime's highest-rated Wednesday night among Adults 18-49 in eight years (since 9/13/06) and in Women 18-49 in six years (1/2/08). Additionally, it was the network's highest-rated non-fiction night of 2014 YTD with Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49.
The Bring It! median age of 29 ranks the show as Lifetime's youngest-skewing series, alongside its lead-in Preachers' Daughters, which last night averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers, a +72% jump versus its second season premiere on March 5th.
Next Wednesday, May 7, at 10:00pm ET/PT, Lifetime will air the hour-long bonus episode Bring It! Miss D Breaks It Down. Hosted by Kim Coles (Living Single), it will feature a look back at the memorable moments from the program's season, with Coach Dianna Williams ("Miss D") taking viewers inside the world of hip-hop majorettes, where her Dancing Dolls and Baby Dancing Dolls teams showcase their signature moves and the parents dish about each other and the competition. The special also will include performances from the Dancing Dolls' parents.
The ten additional episodes of Bring It! will premiere this summer.
Bring It! follows Coach Dianna Williams, or "Miss D," and her dancers as they refuse to lose and push themselves to the limit each week in the relentless pursuit of victory at high-powered dance competitions throughout the U.S. Every jump, step and high kick on the program highlights the triumphs and struggles of intense competition, where errors aren't tolerated, mediocrity isn't excused and only a win is acceptable.
Founded in 2001 by Miss D, the Dancing Dolls are one of the country's preeminent dance troupes, with over 15 Grand Champion titles and more than 100 trophies under their belts. With their adorable smiles and unique, high-energy dance style, the Dolls, ages seven to 17, have taken the world of hip-hop majorette competition by storm. Each episode follows the top Dolls and their dedicated moms as they prepare for cutthroat competitions, parades and showcases, culminating in nail-biting stand-battles against their biggest rivals. Miss D has a well-earned reputation for being both a fierce competitor and a phenomenal mentor who teaches the importance of a good education, persistence and positive self-worth. As they compete against dance troupes in Mississippi and Tennessee, Miss D pushes her team to the limit, demanding that they "bring it" each and every week.
Bring It! is produced by Pilgrim Studios. Executive producers for Pilgrim are Craig Piligian and Derek W. Wan. Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue and Colleen Conway Grogan executive produce the series for Lifetime. A+E Networks handles global sales for Bring It! and Preachers' Daughters.
