Monday Results:
· "American Ninja Warrior" (1.9/6 in adults 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew +19% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.6) and by +13% in total viewers (5.262 million vs. 4.653 million). The 1.9 rating in 18-49 matches the show's highest since its first season finale on July 23, 2012 (2.0), with the only other 1.9 over that span coming Jan. 13, 2014 with a special "USA vs. Japan" edition. Versus last summer's second telecast, "Ninja Warrior" is up +19% in 18-49 rating (1.9 vs. 1.6 from 8-9 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2013).
· "American Ninja Warrior" (1.9/6) is the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, ahead of "24" (1.8/6), "Bachelorette" (1.7/6), "MasterChef" (1.7/6)and all other Big 4 primetime programming.
· "American Ninja Warrior" ranked #1 outright among the Big 4 for its full 9-11 p.m. ET slot in 18-49 and was also #1 outright among those nets from 9-10 -- ahead of "24" and "Bachelorette" -- and from 10-11- ahead of the season premiere of ABC's "Mistresses" and CBS's original "48 Hours Monday." For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key demographics.
· An encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" (1.3 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2) and +13% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.6).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
