Monday Results:
· "American Ninja Warrior" (1.6/5 in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks for its first hour from 9-10 p.m., then dominated it second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC versus original competition from both ABC's "Mistresses" and CBS's "48 Hours." From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Ninja Warrior" grew by +14% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.6 rating from a 1.4) and +20% in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 4.1 million).
· "American Ninja Warrior" won its second hour from 10-11 p.m. by a margin of +78% in 18-49 (with a 1.6 rating that hour vs. a 0.9 for "Mistresses"). For its second hour, "American Ninja Warrior" finished within a tenth of a point of the combined ABC-CBS rating in 18-49 (1.6 that hour vs. a combined 1.7 -- 0.9 for "Mistresses" and 0.8 for "48 Hours"). "Ninja Warrior" won the 10-11 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure.
· In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "American Ninja Warrior" delivered an +82% margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 among ABC, CBS and NBC (with a 2.0 rating vs. a 1.1 each for "Mistresses" and "48 Hours").
· An encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" (0.9 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49, 3,2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key demos, with gains of +25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.8), +20% in adults 18-34 (0.6 vs. 0.5) and +40% in women 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.5).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.3/1; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
