TNT's summer dramas dominated the weekly ratings race, with The Last Ship topping the charts as basic cable's #1 scripted original for the week with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and Rizzoli & Isles ranking as basic cable's #1 scripted program with total viewers. TNT also scored success with Falling Skies and Major Crimes, which both ranked among the top scripted originals for the week with key demos, as well as Perception and Murder in the First, which joined the other series in giving TNT seven of basic cable's Top 10 scripted programs for the week in total viewers.
Over all, TNT ranked as basic cable's #1 entertainment network for the week in primetime, with more than 2.3 million viewers and strong +18% growth compared to the same week last year. TNT is currently on pace to rank as basic cable's #1 network in primetime delivery of total viewers and key demos for Q2 2014. The following is a rundown of basic cable ratings victories TNT's summer dramas scored for the week:
Seven of basic cable's Top 10 scripted originals with total viewers, including all of the Top 4:

#2 The Last Ship: 5.3 million viewers Sunday at 9 p.m.
#3 Major Crimes: 4.6 million viewers Monday at 9 p.m.

As reported yesterday, The Last Ship now ranks as cable's #1 series launch for the year-to-date, leading a pack that gives TNT five of cable's Top 6 scripted season premieres for the year-to-date in Live + Same Day delivery.
Also last week, TNT's real-life investigation series Cold Justice garnered a total of 2.3 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for Friday night's 9 p.m. summer premiere and midnight encore. The show's premiere telecast at 9 p.m., which delivered more than 1.7 million viewers in Live + Same Day, outperformed the show's second-season premiere in January by +22%. Cold Justice also surpassed its overall Live + Same Day winter average by +19%.
In key demos, Friday night's Cold Justice premiere garnered a total of 935,000 adults 25-54 (+14% over the show's winter average) and 685,000 adults 18-49 (+14%). In addition, the second season of Cold Justice continues to show growth in Live + Same Day delivery of key demos compared to season 1, with adults 25-54 up +5% and adults 18-49 up +16%.
In time-shifted viewing, last Monday's episode of Major Crimes has grown to 6.1 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, while that night's episode of Murder in the First has climbed to 4.5 million viewers in Live + 3. Meanwhile, Tuesday's season 5 premiere of Rizzoli & Isles has grown to 8 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, and the season 3 premiere of Perception's has grown to 4.4 million viewers in Live + 3.
TBS
TBS ranked as basic cable's #1 entertainment network in primetime delivery of adults 18-49 for the week.
TBS's new comedy competition series Funniest Wins, from Marlon Wayans, premiered this past week with a total of 1.8 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for its Friday premiere and weekend encores. In key demos, the show brought in 1.0 million adults 18-49 and 514,000 adults 18-34.
The Big Bang Theory on TBS had another winning week as the show claimed all of basic cable's Top 15 sitcom telecasts for the week among adults 18-49, along with the Top 14 sitcom telecasts with total viewers and adults 18-34.
Cartoon Network
Across the fourth week of June 2014, Cartoon Network continued its month-long streak as television's #1 network for Early Prime (6-8 p.m.) delivery among targeted boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14. The network also again ranked #1 in Total Day delivery of boys 6-11 & 9-14.
Compared to the same time period last year, Cartoon Network's Total Day Delivery for the week grew among all targeted kid demos - kids 2-11 increased by 2%, kids 6-11 by 6% and kids 9-14 by 14%. Early Prime (6-8 p.m.) delivery also grew among kids 2-11 by 4% and kids 9-14 by 6%.
Proving a ratings powerhouse on Thursday night, Cartoon Network once more scored as the #1 television network among kids 9-14 and all targeted boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 on Thursday (6-8 p.m.), with the night's overall delivery performance growing by mostly double-digits among all targeted kids 2-11 (up 10%), kids 6-11 (up 25%), kids 9-14 (up 29%), boys 6-11 (up 9%) and boys 9-14 (up 34%).
Among Thursday's original animated series, The Amazing World of Gumball (6:30 p.m.) charted as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 9-14, growing by double-digits among all targeted kid demos, ranging between 18% and 28%vs. the time period last year. Additionally, original animated series Teen Titans Go! (6 p.m.) claimed the #1 telecast of the day among kids 9-14, fueling double-digit delivery gains across all targeted kids and boy demos, between 13% and 44%. Overall, The Amazing World of Gumball, Clarence (6:45 p.m.), Adventure Time (7 p.m.) and Regular Show (7:30 p.m.) each ranked #1 in their respective time periods among kids 9-14 and all targeted boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14.
Rounding out the week, Cartoon Network further reinforced the week's performance, ranking as the #1 television network on all TV among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 on Tuesday & Wednesday Night, the #1 network among boys 6-11 on Monday Night, and the #1 network among boys 9-14 on Friday Night.
Adult Swim
Facing ongoing coverage of the World Cup, Adult Swim crossed the fourth week of June 2014 finish line ranked #1 in Total Day Delivery of adults 18-24, also scoring a 3% delivery growth among men 18-49 vs. the same time period last year.
Among its original animated programming on Sunday night, new episode premieres of Robot Chicken (11:30 p.m.) and Superjail (11:45 p.m.) both ranked #1 in their respective time periods among all targeted adults/men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49. On Monday night, a new episode of The Boondocks (10:30 p.m.) scored an 8% delivery gain among men 18-49 vs. the same time period last year.
On Saturday night, Adult Swim's signature TOONAMI block presentations of Attack on Titans (11:30 p.m.), Bleach (12 a.m.), Naruto (1 a.m.) and One Piece (1:30 a.m.) all ranked #1 in their respective timeslots among adults 18-24 & 18-34, and men 18-24 & 18-34. Blue Exorcist (2 a.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period among all targeted adults/men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49. Black Lagoon (2:30 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and all targeted men. Audience deliveries for Blue Exorcist and Black Lagoon grew among all targeted adults and men, between 1% and 96%, compared to the same time period last year.
Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad, The Boondocks and Robot Chicken-accounted for 17 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week among adults 18-34, and 19 of the top 50 telecasts among men 18-34.
