Tuesday Results:
Despite airing an encore "America's Got Talent," NBC won Tuesday night in 18-49 and total viewers among the Big 4:
· With the #1 and #2 shows of the night in 18-49, "America's Got Talent" and "The Night Shift."
· Leading six of six half-hours among the Big 4 in 18-49 and total viewers.
· Leading the night among those nets in every key measure.
· An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.7/6 in 18-49, 7.9 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) is #1 in the time period among the Big 4 in every key measure and is the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in every key demographic.
· The "America's Got Talent" encore grew steadily throughout its four half-hours, with this track: 1.3, 1.6, 1.9. 20. The "Talent" rebroadcast grew by +54% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.3) and by +14% or 1.0 million persons in total viewers (8.3 million vs. 7.3 million).
· "The Night Shift" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew +8% versus the last time it aired with an encore lead-in (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.921 million viewers overall on June 24) in both 18-49 and total viewers. "The Night Shift" is the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49, behind only "Talent." "The Night Shift" is #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.
· "Night Shift" retained 93% of its 1.4 from last week, when it enjoyed an original lead-in - last night's lead-in from 9:30-10 was down 35% week to week -- a 2.0 last night vs. a 3.1 a week ago in that half-hour. In total viewers, "Night Shift" also retained 93% of last week's average (6.408 million vs. 6.873 million), despite a lead-in drop at 9:30 of 33% (8.279 million this week for a "Talent" encore vs. 12.286 million last week for a "Talent" original in that half-hour).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
