Tuesday Results:
NBC won Tuesday night in total viewers among the Big 4 with the #1 show of the night in 18-49 and total viewers, "America's Got Talent."
· "Food Fighters" (1.2/5 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 92% of last week's results in 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 1.3) and 91% in total viewers (4.3 million vs. 4.7 million) and is up +20% versus the show's debut two weeks ago in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.0), despite far tougher competition this week from ABC (1.7 in the hour from "CMA Festival" vs. a 1.1 last week from "Extreme Weight Loss"). "Food Fighters" ranked #2 in the slot among the Big 4 nets behind only ABC's "CMA" special in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures and the 1.2 ties ABC's "Rising Star" for the highest week-three rating among the five new reality shows on the Big 4 so far this summer that have run at least three weeks
· "Food Fighters" grew from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including gains of +18% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.1), +13% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and +18% in women 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.7).
· "America's Got Talent" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 8.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "Talent" was #1 or tied for #1 among Big 4 programs last night in every key measure.
· "America's Got Talent" won the time period versus ABC's "CMA Music Festival" in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.
· "Talent" improved its position relative to the "CMA Festival" with each succeeding half-hour, going from a deficit of 0.2 at 9 p.m. (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 2.0) to a tie at 9:30 (2.0 vs. 2.0) to a lead of 0.2 at 10 (2.1 vs. 1.9) to a lead of 0.3 at 10:30 (2.0 vs. 1.7), for a swing of 0.5 of a point from its first half-hour to its fourth.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.9/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/2 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
