Monday Results (Note that ABC carried NFL football in the Philadelphia and Kansas City markets):
NBC won Monday among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 by a +21% margin (with a 3.5 rating vs. a 2.9 for #2 CBS), up from last week's +6% margin (3.7 vs. 3.5 for CBS).
· "The Voice" (3.9/11 in 18-49, 12.7 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of its premiere-week rating (3.9 vs. 3.9) and retained 98% in total viewers (12.740 million vs. 12.948 million), pending updates.
· "The Voice" matched the show's highest Monday 18-49 rating since March 17 and has this week and last week generated the show's two biggest Monday overall audiences since March 24.
· "The Voice" won its highly competitive two-hour time period in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and other key demos. From its first half-hour to its fourth, last night's telecast increased by +34% or 1.1 rating points in 18-49 (to a 4.3 from a 3.2) and grew by 2.6 million persons or +24% in total viewers (13.7 million vs. 11.1 million).
· Note that last night's 8-9 p.m. ET competition was up by 50% on CBS and 27% on Fox versus the same night last year, with CBS growing thanks to "The Big Bang Theory" (3.9 vs. the year-ago 2.6) and Fox up with "Gotham" (2.8 vs. the year-ago 2.2).
· "The Blacklist" (2.8/8 in 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the time period convincingly versus season premieres of ABC's "Castle" (2.4, pending updates with NFL preemptions in Boston and Kansas City) and CBS's "NCIS: LA" (1.9). "The Blacklist" beat "Castle" in 18-49 by +17% (pending updates) and "NCIS: LA" by a +47% margin.
· L+3: Note that last week's "Blacklist" grew in L+3 ratings by 1.49 rating points or +44% in 18-49 and by 5.3 million viewers overall.
· Last night's "Blacklist" is up +8% versus what the show was averaging at the end of last season through the May sweep in 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.6).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.2/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
