GIANTS-CARDINALS NLCS GAME 1 DRIVES FOX
TO NO. 1 IN PRIME TIME
St. Louis - Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, presented by T-Mobile, between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals last night drove FOX to No. 1 in prime time based on metered market ratings released today by Nielsen. The game was also the top-rated sports event in prime time. National ratings are expected to be released on Tuesday. Highlights follow:
· NLCS Game 1 resulted in a 3.5/6 metered market household rating/share, which includes the alternative NLCS on FOX Sports 1 Powered by JABO simulcast. It was the top-rated sports event in prime time, and FOX, with FOX Sports 1's simulcast rating included, averaged a 3.5/6 to rank as the as the No. 1 network in prime time (8:00-11:00 PM ET).
· The game opened with a combined 2.0/4 from 8:00-8:30 PM ET as it competed with the conclusion of ALCS Game 2 on TBS, but jumped to a 3.7/6 at 8:30 PM ET once the Royals- Orioles concluded.
· Ratings for NLCS Game 1 peaked at a 4.1/7 from 10:30-11:00 PM ET.
· The NLCS on FOX Sports 1 powered by JABO simulcast contributed a .14 to the game's 3.5 HH rating.
· The home markets of the competing teams led the way with St. Louis posting a 24.2/41 and San Francisco a 16.8/37.
