TLC CLOSES OUT 2014 AS TOP 10 PRIMETIME CABLE NETWORK FOR WOMEN
Network rounds out the year with 30 shows averaging at least 1.0M P2+ viewers and 2 shows averaging over 3.0M P2+ viewers
TLC ranks as top 5 cable network on four nights of the week with women
2014 brought the network's highest rated 1Q and 2Q in a decade with W25-54
(New York, NY) - TLC wrapped up 2014 as a top 10 primetime cable network with all key women demos for yet another year. Fueled by hit series including 19 KIDS AND COUNTING; THE LITTLE COUPLE; and LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD, TLC secured the #1 Female Cable Network spot with W25-54/18-49 on Tuesday nights in 2014. The network also had its highest rated 1Q and 2Q in a decade, and sparked by hit series including LEAH REMINI, LONG ISLAND MEDIUM, SISTER WIVES, and RETURN TO AMISH, TLC was a top 5 cable network on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday nights with W25-54, and on Thursday night with W18-49/18-34.
In 2014, TLC aired 30 shows averaging 1.0M P2+ viewers or more, and for the first time since 2011 had at least two series that averaged 3.0M P2+ viewers or more. Additionally, 2014 brought record ratings for beloved veteran series including THE LITTLE COUPLE; 19 KIDS AND COUNTING; AND LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD, all posting series' ratings highs with key women demos. 19 KIDS AND COUNTING also garnered TLC's most watched telecast in four years, with 4.4M P2+ viewers tuning into the October wedding special. The return of KATE PLUS EIGHT also brought back a loyal following, averaging 2.1M P2+ viewers
TLC's highest rated freshmen series of 2014, 90 DAY FIANCE, averaged 1.7M P2+ viewers, while season 2 ended with the series' highest rated episode ever among W25-54 and most watched episode ever with 2.1M P2+ delivery.
