CBS swept Tuesday in viewers and key demos with its largest Tuesday audience of the season as NCIS, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS and PERSON OF INTEREST all began the New Year with significant increases, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Jan. 6.
At 8:00 PM, was first in viewers (19.49m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09). NCIS posted its largest audience since Feb. 4, 2014 and its best deliveries in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Sept. 23.
At 9:00 PM, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was first in viewers (17.36m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07). NCIS: NEW ORLEANS posted its largest audience since its Sept. 23 series premiere (just -0.02m behind) and matched its best adults 18-49 rating.
At 10:00 PM, PERSON OF INTEREST was first in viewers (9.97m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.7/05, with NBC). PERSON OF INTEREST posted its largest audience since Sept. 30 and matched its second best delivery in adults 18-49 this season.
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (15.61m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). This was CBS's largest Tuesday audience of the season.
