"48 HOURS: KISS OF DEATH AND THE GOOGLE EXECUTIVE" IS SATURDAY'S #1 PROGRAM WITH VIEWERS
48 HOURS: "Kiss of Death and the Google Exec" was Saturday's #1 program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 24.
At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS: "Kiss of Death and the Google Exec" was first in viewers and adults 25-54. 48 HOURS averaged 5.19 million viewers and a 1.2/03 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.
Saturday's broadcast featured Maureen Maher and 48 HOURS's investigation into the heroin overdose that killed Google executive Forrest Hayes, a hugely successful technology genius, and his relationship with Alix Tichelman, a troubled, tattooed model from a wealthy family who met men through an online dating service.
Hayes, a married father of five, died after meeting Tichelman aboard his 46-foot yacht. At issue is whether Tichelman knew Hayes was in distress when she left him, as police maintain, or if his death was accidental, as public defenders representing Tichelman claim.
48 HOURS: "Kiss of Death and the Google Exec" included never-before-seen footage inside Hayes' yacht "Escape," where police say his death was recorded by an on-board camera system.
48 HOURS: "Kiss of Death and the Google Exec" is produced by Allen Alter, Patti Aronofsky, Elena Difiore, Greg Fisher, Michelle Feuer, Douglas Longhini, Michelle Fanucci and Michael McHugh. Joan Adelman, Marcus Balsam and Jason Schmidt are the editors. Anthony Batson is the Senior Broadcast Producer. Susan Zirinsky is the Senior Executive Producer.
