FRIDAY'S "DATELINE" INCREASES BY +20% VS. ITS PRIOR TELECAST TO THE SHOW'S TOP RATING SINCE JAN.30
GROWS TO #1 FINISHES AT 10:30 IN ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS, MEN AND WOMEN 25-54
Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) grew +20% versus its prior Friday telecast in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.0 on Feb. 13 from 10-11 p.m.), +29% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.4) and +31% or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (6.190 million vs. 4.739 million).
· "Dateline" reported its highest Friday adult 18-49 rating since Jan. 30 (1.2 from 10-11 p.m.), its top Friday adult 25-54 rating since Jan. 23(1.9 from 10-11 p.m.) and its most-watched Friday telecast since Dec. 19 (6.8 million from 9-11 p.m.).
· For the 10:30-11 p.m. lead-in to local news, "Dateline" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.3), men 18-49 (1.0), women 18-49 (1.5, tie), adults 25-54 (1.9), men 25-54 (1.5) and women 25-54 (2.3).
· L+3: The prior "Dateline" on Feb. 13 grew by +34% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.04 to a 1.39) and more than 1.0 million viewers overall (4.7 million to 5.8 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· An encore telecast "The Night Shift" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.5) and grew from half-hour to half-hour in women 18-49, adults 25-54, women 25-54 and adults, men and women 18-34.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.2/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.3/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.6/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2)
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
