ABC's "Shark Tank" Leads Friday - "In An Instant" Gains Solid Sampling Before Moving to Saturday
Despite moving back into the earlier 8-9pm time slot this week, ABC's Shark Tank was Friday's #1 TV show in Adults 18-49 (1.9/7), finishing as the night's highest-rated series for its 18th straight original broadcast this season.
Shark Tank (8-9pm - 8.2 million and 1.9/7 in AD18-49) ABC's Shark Tank won the 8 o'clock hour, leading its nearest competition (The Amazing Race) by 2.0 million viewers (8.2 million vs. 6.2 million) and by 58% in Adults 18-49 (1.9/7 vs. 1.2/5). In viewers and young adults, Shark Tank delivered ABC's best numbers in the time period since November 2012 - since 11/2/12.
In An Instant (9-11pm - 4.4 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49) From 9-11pm, ABC's debut of In An Instant received solid sampling before its move to Saturday, outdrawing the most recent series debut on the night by 33% (4.4 million vs. 3.3 million for Fox's January opener of World's Funniest Fails on 1/16/15). In An Instant also topped the October debut of NBC's Constantine on the night (4.3 million on 10/24/14). The ABC docudrama series featured the story of a family involved in an Alaskan wilderness plane crash.
