NBC WINS MONDAY AMONG THE BIG 4 NETS IN ALL KEY DEMOGRAPHICS, INCLUDING A TIE IN MEN 18-34; 'VOICE' IS #1 FOR THE NIGHT IN EVERY KEY DEMO (INCLUDING A TIE IN MEN 18-34)
'VOICE' GROWS +4% WEEK TO WEEK IN FAST-AFFIL 18-49 RATING
'NIGHT SHIFT' MATCHES ITS ADULT 18-49 RATING OF THE PAST TWO WEEKS, WINS THE HOUR AMONG THE ABC-CBS-NBC DRAMAS IN WOMEN 18-49
Monday Primetime Results (Note that NBC carried NBA basketball in the Portland market):
· "The Voice" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) is up +4% week to week versus last week's 2.5 rating in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and even versus last week's 2.6 in official nationals. In total viewers, "The Voice" is also up +4% versus last week's fast affils (10.640 million vs. 10.276 million). Note that "The Voice" is close to rounding up to a 2.7 (currently reporting a 2.647).
· "The Voice" is up by +13% versus last week's fast-affiliate ratings in adults 18-34 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and up by +21% in women 18-34 (2.3 vs. 1.9).
· "The Voice" is the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in every key demographic - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 (including a tie for #1 in men 18-34) -- and wins the slot among those nets in all those key demos.
· "The Voice" will add significant viewership via time-shifting: Monday's "Voice" has grown by +25% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 3.41 to a 4.27) and 2.2 million viewers overall (12.3 million to 14.5 million).
· "The Night Shift" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is currently matching its 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 of each of the past two weeks and is up week to week in women 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.7), women 18-34 (1.1 vs. 1.0), adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.7), men 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.1) and women 25-54 (2.4 vs. 2.3), pending updates.
· "The Night Shift" is currently running within 0.2 of a point of #1 in the time period among the ABC-CBS-NBC dramas in adults 18-49, winning the time period among those nets in women 18-49 (with a 1.8 rating) and is tied for #1 in women 18-34 (1.1).
· "The Night Shift" will add significant viewership via time-shifting: "The Night Shift" has increased by +38% in 18-49 rating this season (from a 1.36 to a 1.88) and 1.7 million viewers overall (5.5 million to 7.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.5/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
