Friday Primetime Results:
· Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) grew +11% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9), by +15% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.3) and by +23% or 1.0 million persons in total viewers (5.374 million vs. 4.363 million).
· It's the most-watched Friday "Dateline NBC" in four weeks (since April 3, 5.9 million), and in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.5), "Dateline" matched the top Friday ratings since that same April 3 telecast (1.2 in 18-49 and 1.7 in 25-54).
· From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by +50% in adults 18-49 (0.8 to 1.2), +50% in adults 25-54 (1.2 to 1.8) and +37% or 1.6 million persons in total viewers (4.4 million to 6.0 million).
· Head to head from 10-11 p.m., "Dateline NBC" outrated ABC's "20/20" in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0 from 10-11 p.m.), adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5 that hour) and total viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.4 million).
· "Grimm" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) finished within 0.1 of the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 1.0) and matched its week-earlier ratings in adults 18-34 (0.4), men 18-34 (0.3) and women 18-34 (0.6).
· "Grimm" will grow substantially via time-shifted viewing -- "Grimm" first-runs are increasing by +86% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.19 to a 2.21) and 2.7 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.7/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.3/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
