Network Pacing for Record Eight Straight Quarters of Consecutive Growth
New York, NY (June 16, 2015) - On pace to record its eighth straight quarter of consecutive year-over-year growth, MTV2 scored its highest-rated day in the network's nearly 20-year history on Wednesday, June 10, reaching 2.1 million unique viewers with a .3 rating across total day. The achievement was led by the return of "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out," which was the No. 1 original series in its 11 p.m. ET/PT timeslot and the No. 1 most social series of the day in Nielsen's Twitter TV Ratings. Featuring special guest stars Kevin Hart, Fabolous and Rae Sremmurd, the debut of the series' seventh season averaged a 1.3 L+3 rating in the P12-34 demo across two all-new episodes.
The record-breaking day marked the launch of MTV2's #NONSTOPSUMMER programming slate, which includes original series "Wild 'N Out," "Not Exactly News," "Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne" and "Kingin' with Tyga."
On Wednesday, June 17, an all-new episode of "Wild 'N Out" features special guest T-Pain, with an appearance by rapper Safaree Samuels, joining the cast for games including "R&Beef," "Pie or Die" and "Wildstyle." In this sneak peek, Cannon and the cast create a comedic song about covering up his infamous back tattoo, while MTV2's YouTube page has a preview of the "Wildstyle" battle that focuses on Safaree's former relationship with Nicki Minaj.
Following "Wild 'N Out" on June 17 is the series premiere of "Not Exactly News," at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. On Friday, July 10, starting at 11 p.m. ET/PT, MTV2 will debut two new series: "Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne" and "Kingin' with Tyga."
