STRONG PERFORMANCE BY "ISLAND HUNTERS" HELPED HGTV EARN #1 RANK ON SUNDAY NIGHT
New York [For Immediate Release - June 16, 2015] HGTV's popular series Island Hunters delivered its highest rated episode ever with a .9 rating among P25-54 on Sunday, June 14 at 10 p.m. -- helping HGTV to achieve the #1 cable network position among P25-54 and W25-54 on Sunday night. It was the fourth time in less than one month that HGTV earned the #1 ranking among cable networks in both demos.
In addition, for the second consecutive week, HGTV finished as the #1 cable network among W25-54 and among upscale W25-54. Driven by the performance of series such as Brother vs. Brother, Flip or Flop, Love it or List It and Fixer Upper, HGTV averaged a .58 rating among P25-54 the week of June 8 -- an 18% increase versus last year. More than 23 million total viewers watched HGTV in prime during the week of June 8.
