'TALENT' AND 'I CAN DO THAT' ARE THE #1-2 SHOWS OF THE NIGHT ON THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY DEMO
'I CAN DO THAT' WINS AT 10 BY A +56% MARGIN VS. ITS ABC-CBS COMPETITON
Tuesday Results:
NBC wins the night among the Big 4 in every key measure, with "Talent" and "I Can Do That" the #1-2 shows of the night in every key demo.
· "America's Got Talent" (2.5/9 in 18-49, 10.9 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) dominated the night with the highest 18-49 and total-viewers results in four weeks for any non-sports telecast on any Big 4 network. These are the best non-sports primetime results on the Big 4 since the "America's Got Talent" season premiere on May 26 (2.6/9 in 18-49, 11.093 million viewers overall).
· "America's Got Talent" is up +14% versus last week's 2.2 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and up +9% versus last week's 2.3 in official nationals.
· "America's Got Talent" is the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in all key measures.
· "America's Got Talent" will add significant viewership via time-shifting - last week's telecast increased by +19% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (1.26 to 1.51). In total viewers, "I Can Do That" grew by 655,000 persons (from 4.4 million to 5.1 million).
· "I Can Do That" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew +8% week to week in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.3) and jumped +15% week to week in total viewers (5.095 million vs. 4.419 million).
· "I Can Do That" is the #2 show of the night in every key demographic, behind only "Talent."
· "I Can Do That" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key demos. Leading among ABC, CBS and NBC by a +56% margin in adults 18-49 (1.4 vs. 0.9 for CBS's second-place "48 Hours" encore).
· "I Can Do That" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting - last week's telecast grew by +25% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 2.30 rating to a 2.87) and by 1.9 million viewers overall (from 10.2 million to 12.1 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night (Note: The Philadelphia market is excluded):
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
