HGTV WINS JUNE AS #1 RATED CABLE NETWORK AMONG W25-54
Network's Strong Ratings Performance Continues for 13th Consecutive Month
New York [For Immediate Release - June 30, 2015] HGTV, a top five cable network in June among viewers A25-54 with a .58 prime rating - a 12% increase versus last year - also nabbed the #1 spot among W25-54 in prime (Monday-Sunday 8p-12a). Averaging a 0.76 prime rating among W25-54, HGTV's ratings in this demo grew 9% versus June 2014. This was the first time in its history that HGTV landed in the #1 cable spot among W25-54 in prime for an entire month. In addition, June was HGTV's 13th consecutive month of year-over-year prime ratings growth among A25-54.
HGTV also was the #1 cable network on weekends (Saturday-Sunday 7a-8p) among W25-54 in June -- 8% higher than last year with a .65 rating.
The network continued to dominate among upscale audiences as well. In June and in 2Q15, HGTV was the #1 cable network among upscale W25-54 in prime (Monday-Sunday 8p-12a) and on weekends (Saturday-Sunday 7a-8p).
Ending on a high note, HGTV's 2Q15 prime ratings among A25-54, along with its 1Q15 prime ratings among A25-54, now rank as the network's two best quarters ever. Series such as Brother vs. Brother, Flip or Flop, Island Hunters, Caribbean Life, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, Love It or List It and Fixer Upper drove HGTV to record ratings in June 2015 and 2Q15.
