1.5 Million Viewers Tune In To The Critically-Acclaimed Homage To Comedic Great Chris Farley

New York, NY, August 17, 2015 -Spike's original documentary, "I Am Chris Farley" delivered record ratings for the network on Monday, August 10 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT). With 3-day playback, the 2-hour tribute to the beloved comedic actor drew 1.5 million viewers, establishing it as the most watched documentary in Spike's history.

"I Am Chris Farley" is Directed and Produced by Derik Murray ("I Am Evel Knievel," "I Am Steve McQueen," "I Am Bruce Lee") and Co-Directed by Brent Hodge ("A Brony Tale").

"The record ratings are a testament to this incredible film that was the definitive look at the hilarious yet complicated life of one of our generation's most beloved comedic voices," said Jon Slusser, Senior Vice President, Sports and Specials, Spike TV. "I Am Chris Farley" drew a 1.0 rating with Adults 18-49, also the highest for a Spike documentary and further evidence of Spike's shift to attract a more gender-balanced audience. Recently, Spike delivered an average of 2.5 million viewers for its event series, "Tut."

Along with Murray and Farley, "I Am Chris Farley was Executive Produced by Paul Gertz ("I Am Evel Knievel," "I Am Steve McQueen," "I Am Bruce Lee"), Kent Wingerak ("I Am Evel Knievel," "I Am Steve McQueen," "I Am Bruce Lee") and Robert Pirooz ("I Am Evel Knievel," "I Am Steve McQueen"). Spike's Kevin Kay, Jon Slusser, and Jaimee Kosanke also serve as Executive Producers. The documentary is the latest in Spike TV's original "I Am" series. The network debuted the critically acclaimed "I Am Dale Earnhardt" earlier this year, along with "I Am Steve McQueen" and "I Am Evel Knievel" in 2014 and "I Am Bruce Lee" in 2012.
