Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Charts with "America's Got Talent"

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/15/15):

NBC (9.760 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) took home to honors on Tuesday with a new "America's Got Talent" (11.257 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) followed by the launch of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (6.767 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3).

The silver then went to CBS (5.340 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) with a special "Big Brother 17" (6.432 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) alongside the season finale of "Zoo" (4.807 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and a repeat "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.781 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8).

Next up was ABC (5.015 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with repeats of "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.830 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and a second "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.452 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7) plus a special two-hour "Dancing with the Stars" (5.702 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.489 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up the feature "Scary Movie" (1.489 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #9).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.327 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and another "The Flash" (1.202 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) on The CW (1.264 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former posted a 0.2 rating while the latter delivered a 0.2 rating.

· Jimmy Fallon delivered a nine-week Tuesday high, his top rating in metered-market households on a Tuesday night since July 14 (3.1). Versus the prior Tuesday, Fallon grew by +25% (3.0 vs. 2.4). Fallon's guests Tuesday included Robert De Niro, Ariana Grande and musical guest Duran Duran.

· At 12:35 a.m. ET, Seth Meyers generated a six-month Tuesday high, his best metered-market household rating on a Tuesday (1.4) since March 3 (1.5). Versus the previous Tuesday, Meyers jumped by +27% (1.4 vs. 1.1). Meyers' guests Tuesday included Josh Brolin, Governor Martin O'Malley and Judd Winick.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/8; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.3/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/6; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (9.352 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with an "America's Got Talent" (5.305 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6) recap followed by a new two-hour "America's Got Talent" (11.375 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1).

CBS (5.652 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then claimed the silver with a special "Big Brother 16" (6.872 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) alongside repeats of "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.395 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) and "Person of Interest" (4.688 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

Next up was FOX (2.701 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with a new "Utopia" (2.496 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7) followed by the season premiere of "New Girl" (3.061 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) and "The Mindy Project" (2.753 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5).

Meanwhile, ABC (6.181 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up its "Dancing with the Stars" (12.281 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3) results show, a repeat "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.016 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10) and "20/20: From Hell" (3.244 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11).

And finally, repeats of "Arrow" (1.115 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "Supernatural" (0.960 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) closed out the evening over on The CW (1.037 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Arrow" delivered a 0.3 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 0.3 rating.
