Friday Primetime Results:
"Dateline NBC" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):
· Ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
· Despite the 10 p.m. hour, held steady or grew half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +8% in total viewers (4.1 million to 4.4 million), +17% in adults 25-54 (1.2 to 1.4), +11% in men 25-54 (0.9 to 1.0) and +13% in women 25-54 (1.5 to 1.7).
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting - "Dateline" has grown by +31% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 0.97 to a 1.27) and 1.0 million viewers overall (4.7 million to 5.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
An encore of Thursday afternoon's telecast of "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina," (0.6/2 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):
· Improved on the year-ago primetime rebroadcast by 0.1 of a point or +20% in adult 18-49 rating (0.6 vs. 0.5 on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014) and +16% in total viewers (3.761 million vs. 3.232 million).
· For its second hour from 9-10 p.m., tied for #2 among the Big 4 networks in men 18-34 (with a 0.4 rating) and men 18-49 (0.6).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6 with an encore; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
